They want me to donate money to a web series called "Con Man"? They should change the name, if I do they should list me as a producer.

I just went to the website and read it this time, for $10,000 you would become ex-producer, I was kidding before.

Felicia Day was in Dr. Horrible Sing-Along Blog. Nathan Fillion was in Seth Green's Robot Chicken.

They really could fund Serenity 2 if they just wanted to. How many packed auditoriums do they need to get that?

PS Nathan looks happier lately. Did he ever get that extra day off he wanted? Looks like it...

Conventions pay Chump Change. Disney pays Big Money, which is why Joss works there.

Compared to their acting salaries I'm sure you're right, but I think they do well just the same. And just because Nathan is scheduled for eight more cons this year doesn't mean he'll make it to all of them.

Two years ago he cancelled his Dallas appearance at the last minute, but I still went because there were others I wanted to see. When he did make it to Dallas Comic Con last year he (or the con) had gone up considerably on his autograph and photo op fees.

Unless I win the lottery that was probably the last con I'll ever attend, at least for autographs and such. Just can't afford it anymore, and if Nathan got even half of what they were charging he made out okay.

At the Dallas Fan-Expo on May 29th, the Expo still has not decided how high a price fans will pay for Nathan's photo or autograph:
Autograph Price: $TBA
Photo Op Price: $TBA
Prices Subject To Change
Guests subject to cancellation or schedule change, due to professional commitments.
www.fanexpodallas.com/guests/nathan-fillion/

At his next convention, May 7th, Nathan's autograph or photo is 2 times Summer Glau's, but it's not just the money, it's "research" for Con Man.

Nathan Fillion Autograph — $100.00
Penn Badgley Autograph — $45.00
Robin Lord Taylor Autograph — $40.00
Scott Wilson Autograph — $45.00
Summer Glau Autograph — $40.00

Nathan Fillion Photo Op — $100.00
Penn Badgley Photo Op — $55.00
Robin Lord Taylor Photo Op — $45.00
Scott Wilson Photo Op — $55.00
Summer Glau Photo Op — $55.00

So, do you guys think this is just gonna be a bunch of con humor? Like will I really get it if I don't go to conventions?

For instance I saw Office Space before I ever really worked in an office and thought it was pretty stupid. As soon as I worked in an office I watched it again and loooooved it.

Depends on whether you like the Con Man Teaser Debut (With Alan Tudyk).
Now that I think of it, these people didn't want to wait in line and then pay $50 for Alan's signature, so they asked while he was on the toilet. He could not escape giving it for free.

Yeah pretty much what I expected. I don't think it's for me. I watch that and go "oh come on this is stupid that would never happen". I mean sure it's fiction so you expect some exaggeration but I can't really imagine anything close to that ever happening. Maybe people who frequent conventions are like "omg I could totally see that happening".

I expect the web series will not be the subtlest humor. Alan raises the middle finger to FOX for cancelling Firefly. Nathan stops him before too late. http://igg.me/at/conman

Never seen any of them. I liked fanboys though. I can totally relate to the hype leading up to Episode I. I got such a bad sunburn waiting in line to buy tickets to the premier. Everyone was so excited. The movie has the perfect ending too. I doubt I'd like it nearly as much if I didn't live through similar stuff.

Recently was watching some TV, the CW Channel.

They had an ad for the Comic-Con, which is apparently upcoming.
Either the background or the featured poster or backdrop was the Con-Man Ad with Nathan and Alan.

I'm not sure if that is every time, but thought it cool that it was the only film/show being pushed.
