thought someone here might be interested in this.

i just got an email from amazon letting me know that there is a new heinlein book coming out.

its a collaboration from beyond the grave. spider robinson has taken some of the grand master's notes and outlines and filled in a story.

it comes out on oct. 17 and i guess i'll have to buy it. can't resist anything attached to the heinlein name.

i just hope its better than "for us,the living". as a fan i was able to see certain nuggets of the man's future potential in it, but otherwise, it was crap.

It certainly sounds interesting. I can't get enough of the Heinlein "juveniles" which are anything but juvenile.

Spider is good writer and a true Heinlein fan. If anyone can channel the Grand Master, it is him.

By the way, Amazon lists the book as available Oct 17, but when you get to page that displays the book it says available now. Also, Amazon lets me add it to my shopping cart. And, there are reader reviews. So, maybe the book is available now...

If anyone knows more, please post.

I just hope it's better than the Douglas Adams version, The Salmon of Doubt, which I wasn't very impressed by.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

It will also be available from the Science Fiction Book Club. I've got it in my shopping cart on their site, and they say it will ship Oct. 6.
