Haken don't answer questions about his past. What Haken does give ya is a place to be yourself and he has four simple rules.

1. Be Civil
2. Be Civil
3. Be Civil
4. Don't ask for personal info 'cuz you ain't gonna get nothin'.

Ka-peesh.

Hey, I'm the goddess of polka-dotted eggs (dubbed by Wulfhawk) so I should know my way around this egg pie business.

--- What are you doing up this late anyway? And don't give me any of that "Oh, I'm a god" stuff either.

Sorry donin' that whole thread hijacking thing again. Ask away at Haken, Maniac. Don't expect him to give you the complete history of Haken as complied by Haken, though.

I've got the inside track.

Haken is originally an full blood Inuit born in Okinawa. His maternal gramps ended up resettling in South Dakota after WWII. Satisfied with the annual hunting pilgrimage in the Pacific northwest, and the growing sense of community together with the growing population of local Inuits. They eventually claimed South Dakota as their permanent home.

Haken's folks were kids from rival clans growing up in the same border area and attended the same high school. Turf wars were the norm and were often resolved thru harmless break-dancing competitions. In their senior year, as a result of several freak accidents involving skate boards, knee pads, and year old whale blubber, all forms of dancing were repressed.

His folks eventually gave up and moved to Wisconsin - where the air is fresh and the cows never complained about the freedom to express yourself. However, by then, the break-dance craze has given up to lots of folks just simply dressing-up and singing very badly. They struck out on their own and after a failed startup involving frozen yogurt and artificial fish flavouring, they moved to Michigan. And there they raised Haken along with their family of 4 dogs, 16 cats, 22 bunnies, and 2 salamanders.

Haken grew out with many western influences. He ate cheese, hotdog, and apple pie while attending his favourite past time - curling competitions. But he often wondered about his Inuit/Okinawan background. When he was in high school, he is drawn to Anime - which wasn't exceptional distinguishing considering that most high school kids his age in his pretty much all white neighborhood were coincidentally drawn to Anime - though their interest was in the explicit sex & violence and not as much as the uniqueness of the artform. Haken was pretty much disgusted with this general misunderstanding of it all and decided to forget about his past for now.

By day, he is a door to door hamburger salesman. By night, he dreams of being a dancer. But his ticket to broadway was punched a long time ago by a bitter archrival ... and his student. Embittered by that experience, he settled and started doing web-programming. Now and then, as his fingers dances over the keyboard, you can still hear the sweet sharp twang of the show floor as he imagines being in the theatre once again.

Okay, your turn to make up stuff...

Man, you are hilarious! You know, if you want to get to know the REAL Haken, you'll have to ask Sarahetc. She was last seen with him at the Georgia Shindig.

Nice chain, Haken. and not very Inuit looking.

Well... maybe with a big ass furcoat, you can still pass for one.

Wow. Seems I have all the info. What do I get for sharing said info?

There are lots of things I could say about Haken and 75% of those things would be lies, just because I do not have words to describe the extraordinary magnificence that his him. And y'all know me-- rarely at a loss for words.

I'll consult with Haken and, if appropriate tribute is given (here I'm thinking a dinner and dancing date with Alan Tudyk), tell you the great story of his life which does not involve Inuits or breakdancing but does touch on home-brewing, rocketry and a school for Hula dancing.

Well, I waited a long time for an answer from the man himself, but it seems he has deemed it right to remain in the shadows. I have enjoyed all of your comments though. The long story by Jasonzzz was especially entertaining. I suggest all read it and get a hearty laugh.
