Hi all, I was at Dragon Con and Attended all 3 panels, plus 2 of the smaller fans discussions 1 of which Adam Baldwin showed up with some goodies and the other Jewel showed up and Chatted with us for a while. but before I get into possible spoilery stuff I wanted to share this info from dealers that I met and chatted with.

First of all this guy: Pkcollectibles@Hotmail.com Had Serenity pins in silver or gold for $15.00. I missed out on them because he was hard to find however he says he will have more in
1-2 weeks. he also said he would have Patches @ $7 in about 3 weeks. Both of these are the "Serenity" with the chinese characters as seen on the side of the ship.
I sent him an e-mail asking about a website that we might be able to order from and suggested he ask Haken about advertising here or adding a link here. I haven't heard anything yet, but will post more when I do. Try not to send the poor guy 10,000 e-mails asking about them yet.

Now I know nothing about Canada so I'm not sure where this is in Canada (Help from browncoats in Canada?) Anyway these guys make costumes. Visit www.abbyshot.com to check out their work on other projects such as Matrix coats etc. Anyway the point is I talked to a couple of them and told them about the "Browncoats" showed them pictures etc. and they said they had already considered it and were sorta working on it. I got one of their e-mail addresses and sent 19 screen shots of Mal's coat from various angles/lighting last night. No response yet. Again I'll post when I hear more. These however were estimated at about $400-$600. Still early in the project so don't panic yet. The big thing was they get your measurements and custom make each one. It will fit you. Perfectly. And bigger news they said they plan to make sure they are cranking these out before the movie premire. Imagine the press for the film when large crowds assemble to wait in line for tickets all in costume like that other Sci-fi series. Well I was excited by what these people were offering and I hope I'm not the only one. I kinda told them I expected a lot of interest for the fans here. Also I tend to only post here (time restraints and all) so feel free to cross post this info at the OB etc. to build interest there as well.

I imagine it would be nice to send a brief e-mail to these fine folks to let them know you are interested in their products, but again try not to make them afraid to check their e-mails : )

As for the possible spoilery stuff. I'm going to respond to my own post here with that to keep it seperate and to go ahead and give you guys time to read this........more to come.

ok on to spoilery goodness. This is just a few things that were either outright said at the con or pieced together in my head from attending the five events.

regarding the pic that was posted of "Jayne" on the yellow floaty thing:spoiler

...this is apparently the new "Mule" and will likely be used in a "run away from the Reavers"

regarding the picture of "Wash" in flight suit at wreckage:spoiler

..This is not likely to be a flashback as I saw scenes that included other crew at the same site. Maybe it is more of a disguise as in Ariel when everyone dressed as paramedics?.

Regarding Inara at the end of the series wanting to leave. spoiler

..Apparently "not on board" at the beginng of the movie. of course she wasn't on board at the beginning of the pilot episode "Serenity" either so this may have been a mislead.

...actually I think this is common knowlege by now but 6-8 months have passed and it seems there is an animated DVD in the works to fill in the gap like with "cronicles of Riddick" and "Van Helsing"

Also, forgot to mention, Adam had to leave late Sat/Early Sunday for a new project starting in South Africa. When I asked if he could say what it was, he said it was a remake of "Posiedon Adventure". Have to watch the original and see what that might be like.

I tried sending this guy an email at the addy you gave & it keeps getting bounced back as "undeliverable".

Anyone had any luck reaching this guy?

Anyone have problems recently with the Blue Sun Shirts? I saw one post that said they got their shirt in four days in England, it's been more'n a week and I've not recieived shipment, charge posted on credit card though. Well, maybe they just got swamped with orders after Dragon*con

Same here. Sorry about that. The pins looked great and he seemed interested in getting and selling more, but I've not heard from him either. The coats are in the works with Abbyshot though.
