I’ve had this happen a few times, more of an annoyance than anything.

Some threads I go to and the text doesn’t conform to the screen but rather goes off in a single line for around 200 columns rather than the 80ish I get on the other ones.

http://www.fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=2&t=2094 is one of those threads.

Okay CTC,
Next time, before you start a whole thread on dumb questions like this, do one of these three things--

1.) Think about it for at least three seconds.
2.) Ask your neighbor.
or
3.) Repress the urge to post.

If you would of read earlier posts on those threads you would have noticed (hopefully) that all of those threads have large pictures in them that are not resized but instead stretch the text boxes. If you are still annoyed, go back to #3.

Yup, that was stupid. When I opened the thread and saw that it wasn't conforming I assumed it was the same as the others and used it as an example.

Not all of the threads this was happening with had pictures, I simply picked a bad example. If I see a text only one doing it again I’ll post it unless there is an obvious reason why those do that as well.

So Kaythryn, is there a reason starring me in the face why this happens in threads without pictures?

Chris, Shut the hell up already! In the short time you have been here you have easily managed to become the most annoying person on the board. I've tried to keep quiet but just couldn't anymore. Your posts are sottish and your arguments are idiotic at best. To answer your question sometimes people cut and paste from other sources and the board accepts them in the format they are posted which is sometimes wider than the standard format on this board. Just use the little slider at the bottom of the page and you can scroll back and forth to see the whole post. Please, please, please keep refering back to #3.

SUCCATASH

I've become pals with both HFK and Kaythryn and many others on this board.

I don't want to piss off my friends, but I find myself unable to remain silent.

I like Chris the Cynic, and I don't understand why so many people are annoyed by him. For the most part, I enjoy his threads and the things he has to say. I think he's a smart guy.

I feel sad when I see mean threads like this.

Kaythryn had good reason to think I was stupid, when I looked back at that thread I thought it was an example of text only non-conforming text. If I had looked down rather than sideways (I checked to see if it was the same length as other threads) or thought about why I hadn’t considered that one of the odd threads before I would have realized or remembered that there was a large picture there. Her post was rude, but she did have good reason for thinking that mine was a pointless post.

I have no idea why HFK thinks that my question was stupid, I have pasted text from others sources and it always converted to the forum’s format for that. I have not read anywhere on here that some text keeps it’s format and thus doesn’t conform to the screen, so I don’t see why it’s such a big deal I don’t know. I saw something that looked like a glitch, used the wrong example, and brought it up. Other then using a bad example I don’t see what the problem is.

So I don’t know why I got that response from HFK instead of the simple
