I know there is a previous thread, I don't your policy on dredging up old threads with a new post, so I made a new post. (link to old thread: http://www.fireflyfans.net/mthread.asp?b=4&t=8646)

I bring this up because I have been watching my recently acquired Blu-ray version (gave the DVD version to my father) and I remembered Book used to do an opening narration but it wasn't included which I was kind of bummed about.

I'm looking for the opening narrations done by Book & Mal (both versions) in any pc playable format. The previous thread linked to a site that had it but it no longer exists/works.

I'm hoping someone might know where I could get them.

Thank you in advance.

If I remember right, they're available on YouTube, and maybe the text as quotes over at
still flying.net

Sorry I can't do links, but I'm still recovering from a (computer) virus attack myself.

TWO

The Joss Whedon script for Serenity, where Wash lives, is Serenity-190pages.pdf at www.mediafire.com/folder/1uwh75oa407q8/Firefly

I downloaded “The Train Job,” which opens with Book's narrative, from http://versaphile.com/download/firefly.html Book opens all the following episodes until “Out of Gas,” which opens with Mal's narrative.

All these videos were made while Firefly was first playing on TV. That makes them technological time capsules lovingly buried by our nerd ancestors. The zipped video files (password is firefly) are in RealMedia format, but that format can be played on the free VLC player www.videolan.org For me, VLC crashed, sent an error report, then played the video. Maybe the real RealPlayer www.real.com does better than VLC.
