Just taking my random-episode-firefly dose before bed... and I found myself noticin' something:

Is the necklace YoSaffBridge is wearing early on in "Trash" just a different colour version of the one Kaylee wears in Out Of Gas?

Just watched it myself and answered my own question, no. It's similar... YoSaffBridge's is shinyier and more reflective.

FLAME

As a jewelry designer who has turned her talents to making replicas of the jewelry in FIREFLY and SERENITY, I can tell you that I've studied all of the jewelry in the series very closely - like, frame by frame and with zoom.

Kaylee and Saffron do not ever wear the same pieces of jewelry. This is Kaylee's OUT OF GAS necklace:

Which looks like a carved bone pendant on leather cord with a greenish bead.

However, Saffron's early necklace in Trash is orange (maybe carnelian?) with a different pattern, slightly larger than Kaylee's, and with a beaded strand. You can see it fairly well here (click on Trash):
