Ugh, too many things to mention. A great follow-up to Our Mrs. Reynolds and once again has me wondering how the hell could Fox cancel this show. One thing I'm wondering...if it had aired would they have gotten away with so much rear nudity or do y'all think they would have ended up having to censor it a bit. I know that since NYPD Blue butt shots aren't that taboo anymore, but I just wonder.

My favorite part? When Saffron is leaving the naked Mal and he yells after her "You dirty, dirty whore!!!" or something to that effect. All in all, a great episode. Gotta love Wash's face when he's trying not to look at Mal at the end. Damn, I think I'm gonna have to go watch it again.

Edit: Have to add...I love Jayne. "Anybody there?" "Anybody else?"

Watched it twice so far and absolutelty loved it. Maybe it's just cause it's been so long since we've seen anything new but I thought it was great. All the Simon/Jayne parts were great, especially when Jayne threatened to show River his 'man parts'.
"But I'm so hot dear"
"I shaved my beard for you devil woman"
"I'm trying to think of a way you could be any more crude"
"I can kill you with my brain"
It was all good, Jayne's question to Saffron, on and on. So Succatash, what were the questions you wanted to ask about it?

Anytime Simon gets to be menacing is great with me. It was nice to see River being so coherent(well, for her) and her and Simon actually being able to have a conversation was good too. I actually enjoyed Saffron less this time than in Our Mrs. Reynolds, the actress that is. The naughty nymph act just grated on me a little bit.

Loved "the dirty whore" thing too. The pace seemed a bit rushed, but that might be just the adrenaline from getting to see a new ep after so long.

if you don't mind me asking, but where can you get these unaired eps from?

i have just read the script, and fell off my chair laughing at that! however, seeing mal's butt would enhance my enjoyment soo much more!

Just great. I can't wait to see it in a clearer presentation.(not to knock the legendary POLLAXT on the capture job)
Some wicked scenes. It really was great to have another go around with Yolanda.
Really fun character. Can't believe I got to see a new ep. *shakes head*

We must howl 'till they give us more!!!

Loved it! Seen it twice so far, and I'm planning on watching it before bed tonight again. I thought this episode was the best work from Inara and Saffron we've seen yet. Of course anything with Simon is good, but I loved his three scenes with Jayne. *Swoon* Until there is something more specific to write about I’ll have to end with-- I love it, I love it, I love Simon, I love it, I love it!

Oh, and Mili, check out the "looking to download Trash" thread.

Where was Book? Well, I guess he got the job of hauling Jayne into Serenity after Jayne fell.

This was a great episode!!!
Loved the whole setup thing. Didn't see it coming.
Many favorite parts, but the one that sticks out most is River threatening Jayne by saying she could kill him with her brain...and he buys it hook, line and sinker. Hilarious!!!

I noticed the conspicuous lack of Book as well. I always like Book.

Although I would have liked more Book in action, I must say this is a GREAT episode. Nice connection to Our Mrs. Reynolds and Arial.

Loved every minute of it. Love the new laser gun (I'm not talking about naked Mal). The Jayne Betrayal was magnificantly played between River, Simon and Jayne.

I think Book and River should play chess during the show. I believe Book has the mental ability to thwart River to some degree. A game of chess would prove this to be true.

Are you suggesting she was being less than honest?

"Also... I can kill you with my brain.."

I just LOVE the look on his face, classic!

It's good to see River getting less manic, she does seem to be getting more coherent in the last few episodes.. playing games with Kaylee, outsmarting Jubal Early.

I love how Mal and Saffron/Bridget/Yolanda react when they see eachother. "So... you guys have met?"

The "fight" between Mal and Inara was a nice bit of character relation development, a very enjoyable scene.

Also, nice to see Inara getting to be more like part of the crew. So far she has always seemed a bit of an outsider to me. Seems she can be pretty tough when she needs/wants to be.

Actually yes. I think she was toying with Jayne... and Jayne is the perfect dupe to play such a trick on. He's so gullible.

I should have used a sly smiley. I think she was messing with him too, but with River you never really know eh?

true enough. River could eventually pull some crazy telekinesis or something like that I suppose. I am glad that she hasn't so far though.

So question: How many of these unaired ep's has Saffron been in? Could she be the reason they weren't aired?

Is anyone else getting a Cassandra vibe from River? Cassandra was one of the princesses of Troy she had the gift of prophecy but no one would believe her (Apollo couldn’t get any so he cursed her.)

Maybe it was just the “no good will come of her” line, Cassandra said the same thing to Paris before he went and stole Helen

When Mal is sitting naked on the rock, it looks like he has a tattoo on his hip. Anybody else notice that?

Or maybe it's mud, or blood or something.

You know what I loved in Trash? I bet you don't so I'm going to tell you.

Select to view spoiler:

When River was saying "She's a liar. She's a liar and no good will come of her." I thought, of course she's talking about Saffron, but then she goes on to say "Jayne is a girls name" and then it hit me-- she was talking about Jayne that whole time! Oh, loved it.

I loved the developing Mal / Inara sidestory

and at the end when Mal smiles and says " We got the goods, I call this a win "

a big contrast to the beginning of Serenity where he replied to Jayne saying the same thing " Yeah we win " with a rather self loathing look on his face. Mal may be becoming a little less bitter, I like that.

I loved this scene. I had to watch it a couple times too. River was definitely (in my mind) refering to Jayne through that whole conversation. I was thinking about the Jayne's morality question too. I got the feeling from this ep that Jayne will be changing his ways...to some extent.

it sure was a great episode. lots of good laughs, but one thing really bugged me. i'm guessing everyone has the same copy. the guy who recorded it left his icq on. i can hear the sounds from it. they some how got recorded into the file.

but the episode was great. i love the part with Mal sitting naked on the rock and saying "well... that went well" or something like that.

I think she will eventually quit her line of work and become something like Saffron.

She will be like Face on the A-Team. And future love spats with Mal will go like, "I USED to be a whore!" (after he calls her a whore).

And Mal starts giving her free rent on Serenity, because she's pulling great con moves for the team. Their relationship blurs and the issues of money vs. love vs. whorin and stealing make for a good story. Especially after we learn she's already slept with Book in the past! Companion's honor forbids Inara from telling Mal who Book really is since Book's identity is protected under Guild law.

Of course, Mal points out that she's not a Companion anymore.

Will Inara reveal the truth about Book?

So you think Book was a dabbler in the less-than-respectable world of whorin' eh? What makes you think that? When he breaks down and cries in front of her during his confession of uncertainty?

I don't buy it. The scene at the end of Serenity where Inara "blesses" Book after his confession did not have any familarity to it. While I doubt that Book had always been a preacher, or a decent person, I don't think he and anyone on the crew knew each other.

But then, with Joss, one never knows
