Firefly (the series) soundtrack - - new tactics!

This was previously posted on the Browncoat forum and I thought if it were posted here too it might help our chances a bit more.

We should contact La-La Land Records (Battlestar Galactica & Farscape: Peacekeeper Wars soundtracks) and Rounder Records (Buffy: Once More With Feeling soundtrack), and put a bug (of the Firefly variety!) in their ears. Browncoats are known for getting what they want via making noise (and buying the **** out of DVD sets)...these folks need to know that we'd snap up a Firefly soundtrack by the zillions.

So - - anyone who has a mind to, please contact them at the following:

Here's the email I sent to Rounder, just to give you an idea of what they need to hear:

"As a fan of your previous products, I was wondering what it would take to get hold of, and release, music from the original Fox television series Firefly (from Buffy creator Joss Whedon, music by Greg Edmonson).

I think there would be a huge market for such a soundtrack at this point in time, with the Firefly DVD set currently selling through the roof, episodes re-airing on the Sci-Fi channel beginning this month, and the pending release of the Universal Firefly-based movie Serenity, coming in September. I know I'd be thrilled to have one, and there are quite a few 'Browncoats' out there, with more on the way, who'd love to see it as well!

The sooner the better! Browncoats are pining for some music from the TV series and while I'm sure the Serenity Movie Soundtrack will be wonderful as well, it simply could not cover as much material as what was used in the show FOX originally aired - and both would sell appropriately. AKA very well! (See DVD box set sales for Firefly series for more info).
