I finally saw it last night.

It finally came out on Christmas Day.

I had heard it was not supposed to be great. The storyline/plotline seemed adequate for a Saturday morning cartoon, albeit of marathon length.
Many scenes I wondered what the director was doing, what was the point of this scene, why is screen time dedicated to such fluff?

Some of the action scenes were OK, but heavily influenced by the stop-action slo-mo developed by video games, ala 300 by Snyder. Sort of fitting for the whole child-level of this film.

Although I greatly prefer to see films on the silver screen, in cinema, I can honestly say this film gives little reason to not wait for home viewing, or on a smaller screen.

The first film was circa WWII, this film was 1984, and for time-warp sci fi fans, the transition and interaction didn't seem smooth.

I did recognize Kenneth Pollan, who played John Galt in Atlas Shrugged, something of a superhero to some.

There is a coda. Almost at the end of the cast credit roll. Wonderful scene.

So what did you think of the body swap and the implication that Wonder Woman had sex with some random dude without his consent?

You don't seem to understand wymmin empowerment. Only wymmin can be raped, not men.
Wymmin can expect any man should be honored to have had sex with them, when and where the wymmin chose.
Your lack of suspension of disbelief is showing.

Besides, she complimented him pn his dress style, what more could he ask for? What greater compliment, in a woman's film?

Oh, I get it. And I know you know I get it as well as I catch the dripping sarcasm in your post.

This is no different than any single opinion they hold about any single issue, and is constantly on display to everybody, and WW 1984 should be a prime example of the abject hypocrisy of the Left in the 2020's since it had a 200 Million dollar budget.

But even the Leftist trash media isn't going to complain about this one. It's better for them to just turn a complete blind eye to it and hope that nobody noticed. A year or two from now nobody will ever even remember this film was a thing, and you won't see it on any lists of either good or bad movies.

I haven't seen it and likely never will, I heard that it's so bad even the access critics can't save with their kiss ass reviews.

Screen Rant noticed. And 2.2 Million people saw the video.

Oopsie!

I failed to make it clear that this was not as bad as Captain Marvel.

It was also not as good as the first WW with GG.

I watched the first WW back in May and was not impressed with it. I fell asleep and had to watch the rest of it the next day. Not a bad movie by any stretch, but nothing in it made me think it was time well spent.

Honestly, the only good thing about the movie IMO was the song on the ending credits.

I think that DC movies have been so bad for so long that anything that was borderline competent is considered a big win for them these days.

That's a great review. You certainly put a lot more thought into it than I did. From what I remember of the flick (which isn't much... I DID fall asleep during it), I agree with your assessment.

I see you made mention of the song by Sia too, although you didn't mention if you liked it or not. I assume that it at least made an impression for you to bother mentioning it. Either that, or Sia is somebody I should know if I really paid much attention to new music these days.
