Chloe Grace Moretz talked candidly about the future of the Kick-Ass franchise. Well, she says there isn't one. Kick-Ass 3 is dead, and that's because its fans refused to pay to see Kick-Ass 2. It's simple math for the feisty ingénue, she says, "If you want more than one movie, everyone has to go and see movies at the cinema. It's all about the numbers in the theatre."

Hit Girl put a bullet right between the eyes of Serenity 2 when she said, "If you want more than one movie, everyone has to go and see movies at the cinema. It's all about the numbers in the theatre."

When you look at ticket gross sales and production budgets, it is simple to see why there is no Serenity 2 after a 10 years wait. Serenity was a HORRIBLE investment.

Kick-Ass 2 cost less than Serenity, but sold more tickets, and it's not getting a sequel.

Serenity
Production Budget: $39 million

Kick-Ass 2

Jayne says, "What do you mean, no money? We made our big damn movie, yet we didn't get rich? We got our ass kicked by a little Hit Girl?"

HA! Funny!

Actually, Kick Ass 1 didnt do so fantasticly well either. Better than 2, but in the same ballpark. I blame the jaded pinhed critics.

That site duznt seem to hav the disk salez for Serenity.

You shoudnt giv up hope on a sequel. Now the Joss haz a few billion+ moviez to hiz credit and Hollywood iz digging for gold in every place they can think uv, he coud get it made.

I'm still hoping for Buckaroo Banzai Against The World Crime League!

I really doubt we'd ever get to a Kick Ass 3 if they do a Hit Girl prequel. Having a different actress play Hit Girl would lose them a lot of the casual fans IMO. The one thing you don't want to mess with is Hit Girl. Now a Hit Girl solo spinoff after Kick Ass 2 would be perfectly fine as long as they get the same actress. That would be my suggestion to the studio.

Az good az she iz, I dont think Cloe haz mega-star draw power yet. Maybe a few Hit Girl moviez woud do that for her.

If they find a good prequel actress who looks like a yung Cloe, that woud be great, but I dont think its essential. Look how many different actorz hav played Batman, John & Sarah Connor, Superman etc.

Kick Ass 1 suffered the indignity of pinhead jackhole Roger Ebert massively SPOILING the climactic scenes. This was not the fault of the filmmakers.
Kick Ass 2 made the mistake of casting Jim Carrey, who then repelled away audiences in droves. That was the fault of the filmmakers - they had gold with Hit Girl, why did they insist upon screwing it up?

Cast an unstable Libtard whacko, they can most certainly be blamed for the entirely foreseeable occurrence.
Alec Baldwin? Kim Basinger? Robin Williams? Susan Sarandon or Tim Robbins? Sean Penn?

Sure.
But the coincidence of retardation and delusion among liberals greatly overwhelms chance. And predictability is still predictable.

Kevin Smith iz a hack. If we are lucky, he will only be a produser and will aksidently hire a good director and riterz.

I've never understood the love people have for Kevin Smith. I've never been impressed by his work. I was completely unimpressed by stuff like Clerks. When you hear dialog in Joss's work and then Kevin Smith's work it's so obvious that Kevin Smith just can't write good dialog.
