I'd buy that for a dollar. Or fifty.

Expired, forgotten, spoiled rotten.

That article was hilarious, especially the venn diagram of gamers to firefly fans. I read it with the powerthirst voice in my head and that made even better.

I pray for one last landing,
on the globe that gave me birth.
Let me rest my eyes on the fleecy skies
and the cool, green hills of Earth.

Although it seems to be intentionally snarky, I can't find a single thing wrong with that article. Every word rings true. And yes, OF COURSE I'D BUY IT!

If it would be like World of Warcraft with a online server live play sort of action...

They should call it " The Verse "

It would be great...

Would have been awesome.

The Buffy Game for X-Box(first one not Chaos Bleeds) freaking rocked. Voice acting by the entire cast except SMG, and the girl they got sounded so close to Buffy I couldn't tell the difference. Tight gameplay, great graphics, and fan F%^#@ng tastic level design makes it one of my favorite games of all time.

Seriously?

I tried the Dark Angel game , for a bit, on my old XBox, and it wasn't half bad. I really liked the one liners that Max tossed out, much like from the show...

" You're not even trying " hee hee!

But somewhere during the game I got bored, put Halo back in, and never got into it again.

Wonder if I still have it... how weired would that be, to fire up the old XBox and drag out some old games.....

Bet I could find the old Buffy game kinda cheap? Or not, depending on how few there are.

Summer Glau can simply walk into Mordor

Bones: "Don't 'rawr' her!"
Booth: "What? she'rawred' me first."

Probably around $10 bucks on E-Bay. Better late than never.

OLDGUY

What Would Mal do ?

been spending the past 2 weeks bedside with a family member who has lost the cancer battle..gives me many an hour to watch dvds to surf and, while I don't normally load video games on my laptop (hey, I'm old)... I did pull down the new vector engine version of the old Privateer game...hony lousy old graphics and slow by today's standards, but at 3am, I don't mind spinnin around the verse a few times..feeling that sense of solitary underdog, scrapin by and dancing between honest work and misbehavin...bout as close to a Firefly world foundation as it gets...wouldn't mind a reprise of this basic game onto current technology/net play/cloud play so that my bar interactions would be against actual players, my space fights/co-ops would be against/with other players...etc...I'm tellin ya'll ..that foundation is there and the technology now would make it a sweet way to carry things forward...even a platform for story plot for Joss and the gang to setup shop in...one good step beyond a comic book fer sure...he could present weekly stories into the verse around his basic crew format, add characters as he chose, and we the other players would be out there running our own ships or planet side ops, looking to do business or possibly have a run in with the crew of serenity..some folks might join up as a fed..you know the whole drill...but use the verse to allow for creative writing among the group...joss presents a story/premise, and watch how other human creativity interacts with it within the construct and rules of the game...it's the next evolution in both TV series and gaming worlds come together...just a thought from an outdated old guy
