We shall assume that the subject crows are from a mysterious birdfall or less mysterious roadkill. "Waste not," as Captain Barbossa said to the young lady.
What wine are you having with that?

Lainie and Espo are a hot item. Not keeping it much of a secret, though. Sweet. We loved it.
I like seeing the other cops with plenty to do. These guys are actors, not set-dressing. Ruben Santiago-Hudson is a fine, seasoned actor who can carry some weight in scenes. He needs more meat.

But [/end rant] all this talk of food has made me hungry. Anyone wanna raid the ice planets with me? Got some good Borosian ginger, Mud Moon Chocolate, Ariel Vanilla...

Is there a place on the internet that lists all of the foods mentioned in Firefly and Serenity?

I think we did that here, back in the day when we wanted to list all the foods on the buffet for those who were new to the crew.
We had all kinds of lists. Mal's scars was one of the best.
Wonder how to find an old food thread. Or does this mean I have to watch the show again and take more notes?
H'mmm

Either way I'd appreciate the help. I'm writing a Firefly&Serenity/Castle crossover and I want it to be as accurate as possible. I'm one of those writers that get stuck without all the right facts because I'm a stickler for being as canon as possible; although I could write it without that much detail it wouldn't be as enjoyable. If you help me I'll thank whoever was involved in helping me find this type of information in my author's notes.

It's possible that you could find it under the closed threads; I'd check there myself but I have no idea what to look for as the thread's title 'cause I'm new on this website.

Also, where in this forum can I post my crossover story without being reprimanded?

Welcome aboard!
Has anyone given you your Mudder's Milk and a big, juicy strawberry? Or your virtual one-size-fits-all Browncoat?
Fanfic goes in the Blue Sun Room.
I can poke through threads and try to find something but I'm in the middle of a computer change-over and have no idea how many wounds will be opened in the process.
Heh.

^-^' I'm twenty so I'm not legal to drink alcohol yet except perhaps in some European countries and Japan. Also I don't like real strawberries but I understand the greeting. Do they have butterscotch candy or Lindt truffles five hundred years in the future?

Thanks! I'll put it there when I'm done planning and the first chapter is ready.

lost my post. was a monster. here's a test.
okay - - retry:

Not legal? Heck, kid, we’re in transit, so as long as we stay away from the Dortmunder and other alliance ships and give Reavers a wide berth we’re okay with you sharing in the Milk.
Might say, though, that Reavers will find you extra tasty if you’ve been Milkin’ so best check with the Captain as to whose territory we’re in before bending an elbow.

I’ve an idea how to get your information but will test it first. It’s a time-consumer. I promise to post a progress report.

Meanwhile, anyone with a suggestion or link or whatever is invited (nay, begged) to share it.

Now, about the candy:

Butterscotch is found anywhere the colonists can come up with the ingredients and a proper cooker. Components can be expensive, so you’ll not likely find butterscotch on the checkout for impulse purchase. In some colonies, butterscotch-making is treated as a communal affair, much the same as an E-T-W taffy pull or tamalada. You may be offered some while visiting a private home. Never turn it down, and always drink the chai or rum which will be served alongside.

Lindt-style chocolates are made (allegedly following original recipes brought away by E-T-W escapees) only on New Zurich, an unobtrusive and determinedly neutral planet. NZ was terraformed to include warmish lowlands appropriate to the cultivation of sugar-yielding plants and cacao, while snow-capped mountains were left for furry cows (yay, cheese) and people who enjoy a brisk atmosphere. Lindt chocs, too, are found not at the local store’s checkstand but in specialty shops, maybe in markets in the Core, probably at resort destinations and the cruisers which will take you there. Orders are so often intercepted that insurance has become prohibitive.

That having been said - - ah -- can’t be too sure we haven’t any aboard. Might be in a cranny over by that vat of hodgeberry wine we’ve been aging since a big stomp back around Spring ’05.
