Hey all... Tuesday morning and I was able to buy tickets for the Chicago screening though the Official site says Sold Out?

Once they open, I'm going to call the theater and confirm but I saw it as a fair gamble. I'll update after confirmation.

Gah! MovieTickets.com let me place an order but didn't charge my card or get me into the theater's system. Sorry.

I did learn a factiod though: The theater in Chicago seats 256.

evidently that is what movietickets does,
they never say 'sold out'...they just send you back to square one
(and how annoying is that!?!)

I heard a rumor that someone bought 190 tickets to Philly and that is why it sold out so quickly,
IF that is true then maybe someone is planning a shindig with local friends?
You might check with other people in the area to just see...
it would be really nice if our Mal*licious
and Browncoat1 could get included there!

I want all our fff's to get to the advanced screenings!

I login sometimes on my lunch break, so I was not online during the ticket-buying frenzy.

I am curious now: how full were the sold-out theatres during the May 10 screening? I wonder how many scalper-purchased tickets went unused. It's a shame that browncoats who would happily buy tickets and attend might not get to go because someone wanted to make an easy buck.

Lora, I can only speak for Chicago:
I never saw a Chicago ticket for May 6th on sale on ebay
when I arrived at the theater I didn't see anyone trying to sell,
only a couple of guys wanting to buy...
and when I got into the theater it was jam packed with Browncoats...not an empty seat in the house!

That isn't to say that the situation couldn't have been different elsewhere
or that it won't be different for May 26th....

But if the Philly buyer getting 190 tickets is true,
then I'd say I'm surprised that there are none available on eBay!
That's why I was hoping they were planning on filling the seats with friends.

I was so mad last week. WHY IS IT they only consider Austin, Houston, Atlanta the only important SOUTHERN CITIES? WHAT ABOUT BATON ROUGE??? OR EVEN NEW ORLEANS!

*sigh*

Heres hoping.

(insert many different chinese swear words here) Why is it whenever I decide to not get on the internet for a day one of these screening shows up and are all sold out by the time I find out about it!! Guess I'll just have to wait... unfortunately.

Unless anyone in the Denver area has any extra tickets that I could buy??!!

Actually, I was hoping Houston would be so blessed. DALLAS was among the chosen, instead.

Houston's reputation as one of America's largest small towns must have come into play...

Hang in there, the first time we get to see it, it will be in all its FINISHED glory!

I can confirm that it was the same in SF for the May 5th prescreening -- full house of browncoats!!! :)
