I know it's been rumored, but I still haven't seen definitive word yet. I'm interested in Hitchhiker's Guide, and I'll probably go see it anyway, but I'll be upset if I get there and don't get to see the Serenity trailer on the Big Damn Screen.

Anyone around that can satiate my desire for knowledge?

The UK release today at my local cinema didn`t have any trailers (not one), this was because it was a preview screening, full screenings start tomorrow, (Friday)

I'll be going to see it this weekend (Tiamat willing), so I'll post then with what trailers I see. Probably won't be Serenity, since Canadian movies tend to shuffle things randomly.

I'm hoping Joss will post something today to give a better idea where we may see it.

I saw HHG in the UK last night.
It had trailers but Serenity wasn't one of them.

It's probably for the best. I've been hearing pretty bad reports on Hitchhiker's Guide.

If Hitchhikers is bad, good Sci-fi trailers at the beginning will give the audience something else to think is better.

Hoepfully it is on Hitchhikers. However, I heard the trailer may be delayed from cinemas for one week.

Nooooo! Don't say that! I'm all excited about seeing HHGTTG and the Serenity Trailer on the big screen! Someone today who sees the Guide in the states must tell us if the trailer's on it!

I mentioned in another post that "the trailer will air in theatres the following Friday" could mean May 6th....

That's open to interpretation of course. I'm off to see HHG on Sunday (in the UK) but don't hold out much hope...

I saw H2G2 last night ant there was only the Ep.III trailer and a War of the Worlds teaser trailer.

Meantime, I really enjoyed the movie last night, but not for the reasons I expected...

CYBERSNARK

Bumping this thread, because the other Hitchhiker thread is big and unwieldy:

No Serenity in Ottawa (the Cineplex Odeon at the World Exchange Centre).

I saw Dark Water, Kicking & Screaming, Revenge of the Sith, and. . . one other immanently forgettable one.

I may've missed something before Dark Water, due to the concession stand being staffed by Ents.

No "Serenity" trailer with HHGttG today (Sunday)--sigh.

HHGttG wasn't very interesting, sadly. The original is soooooo much better done.

No trailer when I went to H2G2 yesterday; just a bunch of trailers for incredibly stupid-looking kids' movies and Episode III.

Gyar! No Serenity trailer in San Jose at an AMC theatre either! Although the one of Chicken Little surprised most of us as it started off as the trailer for HHGTTG! That was pretty funny. Heck, we didn't even get the Star Wars trailer!

I liked HHGTTG very much, however.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

You need to call the theater to check before you go. There are two theaters here, both running HG2G on two screens. For one of them I could not find a phone number for the office, but the other theater at least gave the office number at the end of their showtime recording. I called and got someone to go check and tell me which print had the Serenity trailer attached. Thank Joss he gave me the right answer. Even though I had already seen it close to fifty times online, our Big Damn Heroes looked terrific up on the Big Damn Screen.

Oh...and HG2G was better than I expected. Some changes of course, and not as funny as the book, but a pleasnat surprise nonetheless.

Actually, we had a small crowd at the theatre I was at, but many people were laughing right along with the movie. I seriously enjoyed it and never realised the prettiness of Zooey Deschanel. :)
