It always amazes me that so many people write so regularly. I'm a student and write on boards when work is too boring (every 10 minutes or so - ooops).

Does anyone write from work or are most people students? I suppose the sensible people post in their spare time.

Alternatively you might be some mutants with the ability to work and jack-in at the same time, that would explain the unusal brain-power on this board....

back to work now

PS Is this a rude question ot ask, my board etiquette is still developing?

I really should get me a signature

I manage a construction company - spare time doesn't really exist for me. It's extremely stressful and I need something to lighten it. I had to give up sniffing glue and cocaine (just kidding ... I'm still sniffing glue and cocaine).

Working 11 hour days can kill you if you don't take a teensy break every now and again.
I take time about once an hour to stretch, and check the board.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I post from work since the nature of my career has me on the computer a good deal of the day. I find myself with free moments all the time which I use to read and post here and at one or two other sites.

Important people don't do field work.

Post from work and home. Pretty sober most of the time at work (okay, all the time) Pretty inebriated from home (Okay, most of the time). Always have Pez though!

I work from home all but a couple days a week. So while my son is occupied with a cartoon, I stop in for a peek at the board.
Helps me keep my sanity.

I'm actually on and off bed rest. I'm expecting twins, and this has been a rough pregnancy for me.
While on bedrest I get REALLY bored. A lap top is my only hope. You all are my heroes by keeping me sane.

I'm at work and I should be packing my boss' office in preparation for our upcoming office move. There's time, though, to sneak a peek at my favorite website.

Well I'm freelance four days of the week and on mondays I work promoting my own stuff. For the freelance work I have access to a nice shiny G5 with all the trimmings. Often though I manage to finish my day's work before lunch time (it's become quite formula so it's not difficult at all) and this then sets me up to have most afternoons with little to do.

On mondays I usually am sat at my art desk drawing or working on my own stuff - and then later in the evening as with now, I pop over to my folks house and use the computer I gave them to check emails and log onto the forum... It's quite pleasant really :)

Good night

Just wanted to say I wish you all the best with your twins. How much longer have you to go?

Yes, my luck and hugs to you to Starbaby.

It looks like we all use this thing for sanity ... not quite sure what that says about us or Firefly but it has to be shiny

Thanks so much for the well wishing!
The babies sould be here in Septemeber. At least, that's my goal. I'll be 40 weeks on the 28th, but since twins usually come early my goal is just to make it to september.
Thanks again! It makes it easier knowing I have people wishing me well.

I've had people recomend buying 2 extra tickets just incase that happens.
I sure do hope we find a home for Clyde soon. He's such a good boy. He broke his toe the other day, and now he has a cast. *sigh*

Yeah, that'd put a damper on things . .lol.
Oh well, we'll find someone to take him. He's in a good place until then. My husband is in love with him and takes him out to play many times a day. We keep him clean, fed, and warm. Might have to cry when we do find a home for him.

I can't believe people would kill a dog just because he is a certain breed. Plus that silly home thought he was a pit-bull! He is obviously not, he is the wrong shape, plus his jawshape would make it very hard for him to do the things which got pit-bulls banned in the first place, and they call themselves experts! Grrrrrr

I would also take him but I'm in the Netherlands

Keep smiling

Starbaby

Just read up on your Clyde story. What a sweet looking dawg and what sweet looking puppies. If I didn't live in the UK - but I do and I have a dog of my own. I'm constantly fighting my urge to take in another dog.... When I take Pepe to the vets I see all these posters of strays, or abandoned dogs and I really struggle to keep the tears away. Breaks my heart.

Well done to you.

Thanks for the support, all! I'm guessing the reason they think he's a pit bull is becasue his mother is a staffodshire terrier. They are commnonly mistaken for the breed. However, they are very docile and sweet.
I'll keep everyone posted on how Clyde is doing and let you know when we find him a home.
