Hey folks--

I just want to say, I'm impressed.

"Firefly" has been off the air since December of 2002, with less than 13 episodes airing in its entire existance.

The movie project only got underway in the last year, and won't be released until September 2005, nearly three full years after the show's "demise."

No licensed books have been out in the meanwhile, no comic books, no video games... absolutely NO new material given to us.

And yet, since the last strains of the "Ballad of Serenity" were broadcast for the final time, there have been hundreds, if not thousands, of threads, discussing various aspects of the show. Yes, some have been repeats of older discussions, but for the most part, the fans have continuously finding new things to talk about, and point out to others, and find within the realm of "Firefly."

And I for one am amazed that we haven't run out of shit to say to each other yet.

EMBERS

well, having the DVDs come out helped to fill the gap...
and Joss has tried to make appearances
(something he NEVER did, as far as I know,
when it was just BtVS & Ats on the air)
and post occassionally online just to stay in touch with us

But, yeah, this site has really meant a lot to me,
and my continuing Firefly love

Well, us Doctor Who fans managed to cope with just one TVM in a void of 16 years, although there were other media projects to keep us interested. And later this month, we're going to get our reward for it.

If a show's interesting enough and the fans are intelligent enough, we'll always have something to talk about.

You haven't. I have. The only shit I have left to say has nothing to do with Firefly, with very rare and brief exceptions. On the other hand in general I have a lot of shit to say, but as for Firefly I’m all talked out. Now I just think on it fondly and watch it on DVD, there is nothing left to say.
