Hi! Newbie here! :: waves::

I'm a little late to the show but I think I lucked out. I mean, I've missed out on much of the fandom establishment, and that's a shame since everyone seems to be quite nice. But as far as watching the episodes... I think it was best that I got to see them in their intended order. I have the benefit of knowing why everyone was there before they were suddenly... THERE.

Anyway, the heartbreaking part is that you get so wrapped up in the characters and so emotionally attached to them... then POOF! No more! Such a shame.

I'm already planning a party for the opening night of Serenity. (Complete with costumes). It's been a long time since I found something to totally get engrossed in... and this show was SO worthy of it.

So um... yeah... enough rambling from the newb. See you around!

Jennifer

Welcome! Always glad to see a new face (or typeface, as it may be), and better late than never. I'm kind of new to the board too, but I've been a Firefly fan since it first aired.

I think you may have found a new motto for the Browncoats. :)

alas... how true.

One thing I really like about the set up is that Mal has ungracefully accepted his defeat. He's not out to rally the rebels against the Alliance. He knows the Alliance is wrong... but he also knows they won.

That alone says a lot about Mal.

There are several options to choose from if you are so inclined...

Static has a harem. There are original memebrs and us late ones. There's even a membership card

el Jefe aka BadgersHat has a harem. We are a small group willing to dance for him when he's down.

Malicious has a following as well. Though most of hers are called minions. I follow Mal Mistress Most High because she is great and powerful and she can highjack a thread with one word.

There are others too, I'm just not a member of them, so I can't offer any perks to you.

I highly respect the wise words of someone with "Weird" in their name and who quotes Rocky Horror.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Welcome to the site CrzyDemona. Glad to have you aboard.

I know what you mean about this show pulling you in. I have never been involved w/ a show to the point of making a costume (Mal), collecting anything to do w/ the show I can get my hands on, watching the episodes dozens of times, attending Cons, and being on message boards most of the day. There is just something about this show, this cast, this 'verse that pulls you right in.

Welcome to the addiction CrzyDemona. There is no cure.

Welcome! Yes, it is almost a crime the way they destroyed this excellent show.

On another topic, I personally have no harem, as yet.

But you know, it's never too late to start!

Just point me in the direction of the Conventions!!

I have been running a convention for Disney's Gargoyles (hence the "Demona" in my name) for years now. I can always use another convention to take up my time!! :)

Agreed. Everyone should have a harem or two. I collect fanboys (and a few fangirls as well) as a hobby.

Oh, goodie!

Actually I did remember that exchange, but I thought that it became null and void when you joined the Harem of Badger’s Hat, and made no more mention of our arrangement.

After all, I have no doubt that The Harem of Badger's Hat is far better organized, and probably offers more perks.

I’m happy to know that we are still co-harem-ing.
