WHAT ABOUT SIDESHOW OR DIAMOND SELECT SINCE THEY OWN OTHER WHEDON PROPERTIES OR HOW ABOUT A SMALL AND UPCOMING COMPANIES LIKE MEZCO OR PALISADES? IM NOT ASKING FOR MUCH JUST 2 LINES OF FIGURES(6 EA)

SERIES 1-MAL,RIVER,SIMON,WALSH,ZOE,THE OPERATIVE

Hey, and let's not forget a replica of Serenity that the action figures could have action in. It could be hinged and you could open it and see all the steps and levels and stuff. And it could have secret hiding places for illegal cargo and 2 shuttles--1 for the whore action figure--and a small air-ambulance in the cargo bay (with a tiny catalyzer inside that) as well as disconnected and upside-down steering controls. OH! And a little medical infirmary where the Reaver action figure could be tied down!

I can see myself making many toy action figure movies with such a setup.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I haven't been into action figures since I was a kid, but I would definitely collect any Serenity action figures I could get my hands on. I would most likely have to buy three of each as my two children would no doubt wish to play with them and they are not getting mine!

Hmm...action figures are more for boys. I think Mattel will have to come up with a Serenity Barbie line featuring all the characters.

Hehe, I can see that. My wife would be all about a Barbie with one of Inara's awesome outfits (and a Malcolm Reynolds Ken!)

For me, I'm old enough that I never got used to the term "action figures". G. I. Joe was a foot tall in my day, and that's a doll. Not that I was comfortable calling a G. I. Joe a doll until I grew up and got secure in my manhood, but still. In my mind the little ones are dolls too, but I have a feeling I'm asking for a fight if I say that too loud in certain quarters. :)

SHINY!!!

Here is the story from the site:

DST let us see the new Firefly figures too but alas, didn't let us take photos of them. They'll be out in September around the time the movie comes out. The figures will be Mal, a Mal variant, Jayne, a Jayne variant and something else that I don't know what it was...and since I didn't read the script...I can only speculate. It was some kind of monster.

So two Mal, two Jayne, and what must be a Reaver figure! Shiny! Can't wait to add them to the collection of Firefly that is beginning to dominate my den.

Never did like Barbies (and I'm a girl) -- she just couldn't rappel as well as GI Joe (though I'll admit to buying a funky witch Barbie for my niece and a Fey Barbie for my son). But we sure seem to have a swarm of different action figures and gaming figurines around the house.

I'm going to buy a second set of Star Wars figurines and modify them.

I used to be confused, now I'm just not sure.

I want a model-building kit for Serenity. Something I could build and display at the model car shows that my family's involved with...

I'd love to get a model of Serenity. That would be awesome. I've never been much for action figures or Barbies. However, if the toys are really good, I might just have to buy one of Mal. :)

I've never owned an action figure/doll before but put me down for any and all Firefly related merchandise (hmmmmm, being a fanboy is putting some strain into the budget...).

Of course, I did have plastic army men growing up. Does that count?
