I am just curious about how they determine the ratings of a show (yes, I have heard about Nielsen), but how can networks REALLY know who is watching the show? Example, I have only watched 3 episodes of Firefly (I wish I had found out about this show sooner, better marketing would have helped). My 80 year old grandmother loves westerns and action flicks so I told her to check it out on Friday nights as she might like the show. It turns out she loves it! Now, she is not part of any fan group or forum (doesn't even know how to use the Internet). How is Nielsen, or anybody else by that matter, know if she or thousands like her are watching the show?

And also, is it me or is the number of people registered in this website growing?

I've been here since nearly the begining. Yeah, the number of different screennames I see here is definately growing. Fast.

Now if on Joss would post again. I want to hear more about these "Canadians."
