I agree...with the possible exceptions of the O.C. and 24. "Who's My Daddy" pretty much killed the station in my eyes though.

I agree,
I got into House also (missed the first couple). It's edgy, thought provoking, serious at times, funny at others. I'm sure it'll be canceled soon. make room for more trash.

The good news is, this was posted on TV Guide online today:

Quote:

Fox's latest reality train wreck, Who's Your Daddy?, was a bust on Monday, attracting an average of 6.3 million viewers for a fourth-place finish. But even better ratings couldn't soften the financial hit the network likely took on the show.

The reason? National advertising on the show was scant. Fox didn't have more than two paid ads in any single break (and you can bet those who did buy spots did so at a discount). The rest of the time was filled with promos for upcoming shows. By the last half hour, the network was running public service announcements promoting adoption. How touching.

So at least Karma still functions, at least sometimes.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

No need to remind me Jefe. I am reminded nearly daily when I hear people in the office talk about the latest reality crap that Fox is churning out. I have only watched Fox several times since Firefly was cancelled and that was to watch Wonderfalls, which of course THEY CANCELLED!

Fox is the devil!

House is actually really very, very good. I watched it by accident - leaving the tv on the same channel after the King of the Hill, KotH, Simpsons, Seinfeld block, doing dishes and listening to House, which dragged me back into the living room after about fifteen minutes.

Now, this is a medical/doctor/hospital show, which, y'know, boring, but for some reason it's well-written and excellently acted. Hugh Laurie's American accent is truly amazing (as in, you can't tell he's British), and he's such a sarcastic bastard he's a delight to watch.

The rest of the cast, blah-de-blah-de-blah, can't compare to HL, but aren't so terrible they make me cringe, and some actually do produce good performances.

I am now finding Hugh Laurie sexy, and that thought had never before crossed my mind.

I think I noticed on the end credits that the program is actually produced by an NBC company, Fox is just showing it. But I could just be rumour-mongering on faint evidence.....
