Does anybody know about this? I got all warm and fuzzy in the theater yesterday because I saw a trailer for Electra, which I'm only going to see so that I can see the Serenity trailer. But then I thought, "Gee, I know that the postponment means they're going to hit marketing harder, but are they still gonna realease the trailer on Jan 14?"

So my question is, are they?

(Also, the Hitchhickers guide to the galaxy trailer sent shivers of glee up and down my spine, but thats a differnt thread entirely)

ebo-the-girl:

The solid money is on a summertime release for the trailer. So, it's pushed back too. Sorry.

DAMN IT! Oh well, at least I won't have to see Electa...

You know, it might just be a good thing that the trailer gets pushed back too...

So, not only are we being asked to wait for the movie, we might not even get the pleasure of a trailer until the time we were supposed to be seeing the rutting movie in the first place?

Could go either way at this point.

Of course, you can NEVER start advertising too early. A really good teaser trailer in January would be perfect. Just enough to get the name out there and wet the appetites of fans and will-be fans alike. Something funny without showing anything to indicate that the show is science fiction or western-themed. Hmm... idea.*

Full blown trailers in the summer. The exact timing is tough to figure out and I don't have the brainpower to devote to it at this moment.

* - Firefly has it all. Action, romance, comedy, horror, beautiful women, hunky men... the TV ads could really play on these different aspects. Have a trailer that is hilarious, one that shows a lot of romance, one that really creeps people out... lots of possibilities. Really play up that this movie has something for EVERYONE, but don't do it all at once.

I've gotten off topic. No, no one knows :).
