Not seen this anywhere, but have been away for a little while, so apologies. Buffy.nu (in its new home, thanks whoever put that link up) has the French release date down as May 4th.

I would guess that other European countries will have a similar release date.

Seems a little close to the Star Wars release date, which I am guessing will be worldwide again. Gives them two weeks before the cinemas may get cleared, so we best make them count (I would much rather have a three week window - the studio's first week, Whedon's second week and the browncoat's third week).

Sometimes films get out in France way before in the UK though. Not sure why... surely it must take them longer to dub it? The last Woody Allen one, for example (didn't see it in French or English though. Maybe it had subtitles). They do have good dubbing though. But they did make all the Buffy voices very very squeaky in French.

Problem is that many cinemas, especially in the UK, tend to clear the entire multiplex when a movie such as Star Wars gets released, and put it on all screens at least for the first week. That means that other movies get cleared, and often don't get put back when the multi-screening of Star Wars finishes. After all, out of sight, out of mind. That's my main fear for Serenity.

Hi! Are you sure Star Wars will be released on the same day everywhere in the world? I can't remember well because I didn't go to #2, but I think we got it later (in France). Aaargh, or maybe I'm mistaken with the Lord of the Rings. How can I be? Have to check that!
