More entertainment for you all.

"Behind Blue Eyes" ~ A Tribute to Simon Tam, is done and available for download at the little webpage I made for my Firefly music videos:

http://angellstudios.com/firefly.html

I used the Who's version of the song because it worked with the footage better than Limp Bizkit's version... though Limp Bizkit's version gets the credit for inspiring me.

Also I'm out of ideas for videos, so this will be the last Firefly Music Video from me for a while at least. Hope you enjoy!

Very fun to watch, I really enjoyed it.

Awesome job! Only one suggestion - render the vid about 30-40 pixels less in height. Not to complain, but it looked a little stretched out.

Definitely one of the better vids out there, thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you liked it. :)

As for the aspect ratio... actually I went back and compared it to the way the DVD footage shows up on my computer screen and they are the same size. So maybe it's just my DVD video player I don't know... *scratches head* I'm so new to this ripping footage thing. -_-;

Nice vid!

The Who's original version of the song is the best.

Aspect ratio looks fine to me.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Great video Spacefille.

Those are both wonderful, I really loved them!
Pretty Fly was very funny, and I loved the way you featured my favorite guys on the ship...
and
Behind Blue Eyes was very touching, you really put in Simon's best (saddest?) moments

thank you!

Agreed.

I'll download when I have a couple of hours, 'cause I'm still on diallup.

EDIT: Same-time post; make a wish!

Hey, not to hijack the thread, I don't have guns, but I have my third Firefly video in the finishing stages and no place to host them!! Does someone out there have some shiny web space for some shiny videos?

I don't Taylor. Unfortunately. I bought my own webspace for my Art and my two hobbies (Writing and Music Video making.) Music Videos eat up a lot of Bandwidth, so when I get some more professional artworks to post I may have to take some of my videos down. -_-;

The webspace thing I noticed is an issue in the Science Fiction music video making community. You guys don't have what the anime music video makers have... a place like animemusicvideos.org to post your works. This is both good and bad... bad because there isn't space available to people who may not have the resources to post Music Videos online, but good because people tend to make music videos for themselves more (instead of trying to impress everyone with lots of flashy effects, etc) and it's not as competitive. I feel at least.

Sorry I couldn't help you though.

Here's an idea, and I can't do it because I don't have either the knowledge or the software... but anyway--

Would someone want to try their hand at a Firefly video for Finger Eleven's "One Thing"?? Talk about a meaningful song that more or less every character could relate to...

Anyone? Anyone? Beuller?

That'd be a good song. So far I have Elwood's "Sundown", Moby's "Natural Blues", and I should have time to finish Franz Ferdinand's "Take Me Out" today. I've been on a little U2 kick lately...might have to do one of those next. ;)

Love them both - tiny bit o' fussin' - can you make the background black so they will be easier to see, easier on the eyes? With or without, great work!

Hi there Captaincrunch... do you mean in regards to the title and ending screens, or something to do with the actual footage? If it's the title screens I will do next time I make a vid, sorry about that. :)

Shiny! I've been getting into Firefly vids, but I only have half a dozen or so saved.

What's even better about this one is that I have a vid to the Limp Bizkit version that's all John Crichton of Farscape. It'll be cool to have one version for Firefly and one for Farscape.

I meant the screen/page behind the movie - just the way this site uses a black background for it's pages - helps the image/movie be the brightest object on the page. If you want to get nth degree on it you might even use a middle to dark-ish gray for the best viewing. Personally, I like the movie theatre quality of black.

Same-time forum posts are rare enough that, like falling stars, they are a "wishable" event; Unchartedoutlaw and I both posted at 04:37 forum time.

Okkkaaayyy... I have no idea how to do that. Didn't you just download the movie to your computer and play it in mediaplayer or something? O_o

I'm on the wrong thread, but I just wanted to say that your "pretty fly" vid was disturbingly funny and brilliantly executed. Encore!
