Didn't mean for that to rhyme.

Anyhoo, tonight I sing the praises of ABC. Thanks to Lost, I now have something to watch on Wednesdays, and Desperate Housewives and Boston Legal will likely fill my Sundays for a while. Gotta love Shatner. And Housewives - well, I'm just oddly drawn to it.

So, while ABC has now redeemed itself for prematurely canceling Clerks: TAS and Sports Night, understand FOX will forever remain on my $#!+ list. Somebody update me on the count - how many hours are they wasting this season on shows directly ripping off other nets?

The film Ladder 49 is based on Rescue Me from F/X, before developing it as a series. Leary and Tolan shopped it around as a film and a few studios were interested if the movie was more about fires and less about the firefighter's lives. Leary and Tolan realized that they wanted to make a series if they were so married to the idea of the firefighters lives. So truck 42 became truck 49 and New York became Baltimore... people steal ideas all the time. It's why all you can do is accuse them is press conferences and attempt to prove your case in court.

I actually wansn't that impressed with Veritas: The Quest, but the show that followed it, Miracles, was wicked cool and was jerked around ABC's schedule almost more than Firefly was by fox (I'm pretty sure that at one point, they advertised a certain episode all week, only to show a repeat of the Bachelorette finalle instead). That's a show that I still hope finds it's way to DVD, although I doubt it will.

Absolutely it is! On Saturday they aired the first two episodes of Lost back to back, and it rocked. I actually missed those first episodes because I was watching Smallville, which airs the same time.

Now I'm completely conflicted about which show to watch. I'll probably have to just keep flipping back and forth between the two when they air and hope for weeks when one of the shows is a rerun. That's what I did with Smallville and Star Trek: Enterprise last season.

However, Enterprises is re-aired on Saturday in my area. So sometimes I would skip it on Wednesday and watch the re-airing. Maybe ABC will keep re-airing Lost on Saturdays.

Well, they weren't supposed to be 2 seperate episodes. It was supposed to be one 2-hour pilot. Some ABC genius decided they need more time for an extended premeire for the Bachelor, so the LOST pilot had to be shown in parts.

So far the show has been GREAT. Watching it the second time I noticed the polar bear in the spanish comic book a few minutes before the polar bear attack. GREAT!!!
