are there any little moments in firefly that you find funny or amusing or unsual???? it could be anything really..stuff that you wouldn't noramally comment on but you always notice..... it could be something trivel..but it always makes you laugh.. or you always notice it..something small

I don't know why..but for some reason ..I always find it funny in Bushwhacked...when the Alliance crew is going threw the ship looking for River and Simon and they keep looking under the place mats on the table..everytime I see it ..it cracks me up, I can't help wondering what they exspect to find under there!!

PURPLEBELLY

You mean those little trivet things they have in the galley
Sorry to be trivial PJ, I had to get there before the spelling nazis

But On Topic: Reynold's hair, and I thought Whedon's scripts were funny ...

I thought that it was pretty cool that when Mal puts the new Compression Coil on the engine (OoG), he pats it a couple of times. Maybe it was just the drugs.

I have to agree with you, PirateJenny, the purplebellies turning over the placemats in "Bushwhacked" rates on my laugh-o-meter, as does Alan Tudyk miming holding onto the 'steering wheel' in "Serenity" (but yes, I know that was done for a reason). There are some great gags, both visually, and in dialogue in Firef;y... I doubt one could ever truly list them all! :D

CYBERSNARK

The pimp-like carnival barker in "The Message."

And, not particulary trivial, but Early & Mal both getting caught so completely flat-footed when they meet.

I can just hear Mal thinking: "Oh, hi Wash- Jayne- Book- Simon- Inara- River- Kaylee- Zoe- WAITAMINNIT YOU'RE NOT ON MY CREW!!!!"

And Early thinking: "Maybe if I stay really quiet and still he won't spot me. . . Oh, wait. . ."

In Jaynestown, drunk Kaylee's response to Simon after he say's one of his paitents named a hamster after him.
Kaylee-"Hamsters is nice."

In Ariel, the entire confrontation between Mal and Jayne Mal-"You did it to me Jayne--" goosebumps everytime.

On "War Stories" after Jayne's second "I'll be in my bunk" announcement, Zoe walks in and says "Jayne, grab your weapon."

Book has a little smirk, like funny you should put it that way...

that's my favorite little moment

In Arial, Wash and Kaylee are diging around the garbage dump, and Wash picks up a Compression Coil. (Its the part he throws at the old junker 'ambulance')

Such irony.

I thought that too. That has to be the most inefficient search of a spaceship in history. Not only do they look under place mats but one Fed goes to the table and looks under a placemat, then another fed goes to the table and looks under another placemat, before another fed chucks one across the table.

I don't know how the Alliance ever managed to take over the 'verse.

I always thought that moment in OiS was right hi-larious myself. Another moment in OiS is when Mal's waking up (He gets his tail whomped a lot don't he?) and he says something about getting attacked by this guy "and he was all blurry."

Little Jayne things. Our Mrs. Reynolds. When Kaylee is telling Saffron that Mal makes every body cry, you can see Jayne's hand there rubbing her shoulder. And after Mal tells him he can't trade Vera for Saffron, he has a half-second *shucks* expression. Heart of Gold and the Message are full of Jayne moments. Like Jayne brushing the blonde girl's hair.

I always thought that was funny. I didn't think anyone else noticed that.

I too thought it was funny the way the Alliance looked under the placemats, kinda like, maybe they can shrink themselves real small and flat like and fit under this mat. I also enjoy the Jayne facial expressions and in Ariel when Kaylee and Wash are in the junk yard and Kaylee's complaining about her first time on a core planet and she's at the dump then immediatly finds a part she wants and gets all excited.

"You wanna go little man?" - Jayne
"Only if there's candlelight." - Wash

I always enjoyed the expresion on Jayne's face in War Stories, right before he says he'll be in his bunk. I'm always afraid Adam is going to have an anurism right there on set. You can just see his head getting ready to explode.
