As a new Firfly fan my mom thought she would see how well I knew the show. She found this comic strip last night and asked me the same question, which I got right. I felt I should share it with you all.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

That is great!

There seem to be quite a few comic strip artists that are fans of Firefly.

I found another 'mention' of Firefly just last week.

This was in a column I read on ESPN.com by a writer with the name Bill Simmons. In the column he is referencing all the "odd" mentions during broadcasts of sporting events in the '80's, '90's, or whenever. Although I don't think "crappy new show du'jour" does it justice, I thought it was intriguing to see him use this example. This is what he wrote, and a link to the whole article:

I'm with you on the tangential information from the old ESPN Classic games. During Game 6 of the Blazers-Sixers series frrom '77, Musburger keeps breathlessly promising to send us to the Kemper Open as soon as the game ends. He's more excited about the Kemper Open than the deciding game of an NBA Finals. It's unbelievable. But my favorites are the Fox baseball games from the late-'90s, when they would plant the lead actors from their Crappy New Show Du'Jour, then pretend the cameras just happened upon them in the fifth inning, as Joe Buck says, "Hey, look, it's the cast of the new hit Fox drama, 'Firefly!'
