Have seen several fans from the area on this site and other Firefly fan pages. Want to know where everyone is at and if we have any chance of getting a Firefly panel at future Archons (Too bad they are no longer on this side of the river). I'm in Ballwin and want to meet fellow browncoats in the region.

Hey!

I'm currently living in NYC, but I was born and raised in St. Louis. I have recently joined a St. Louis-based Browncoats group. I'm going to let the group moderator know you are interested in getting involved and have her contact you.

Stand by...and welcome!

I live down on Laffayette Square. I have lots of friends I've gotten hooked (remember, the first taste is free) that live all over the area. At the moment I travel a lot so my ability to get involved in any shindig activity would be limited till I find a different job. I would love to get together when things change.

Get me in touch too please!!

I'm in St. Charles...I didn't know there were more Browncoats in the area (except those that I've converted myself) Let me know if there is going to be a shindig of sorts. I'm definitely excited to meet others.

Who's flying this thing...Oh right, that would be me.

Well, I sent a message to the moderator of the St. Louis Browncoats group that I belong to. Sorry it took me so long, but I have been working a lot. :) I'm sure you will hear from her soon.

I and several friends who are converts, live in St. Charles.

Isn't that what is so great about Firefly? All you have to do, is let a friend borrow the DVD set, and soon you've created another Browncoat! I've loaned my set to five of my closest friends, and they all got the Firefly fever.

Now I just have to pry my set back from my latest convert! I'm having withdrawl symtoms!

I'd given some thought to movin' off the edge -- not an ideal location -- thinkin' a place in the middle.

Not to be a name dropper, but I'd like to give some props to my mom who helped set up THE St. Louis convention, Archon. If you go to the Archon website, you will see that Barb Fitzsimmons was one of the chairs for Archons 1-3 and the Fan Guest of Honor for the 1997 Archon.
I owe my love of science fiction to her and my father. Let me tell you, it was great growing up around people like George R.R. Martin, Joe Haldeman, Glen Cook, Vic Milan, and many others. I have a very impressive collection of signed first editions thanks to my parents.
I am in no way trying to sound self-important, but I am awfully proud of my mother for helping to start a great science fiction convention in our home town. Too bad it now resides in Illinois. Oh well, here's hoping we can get one or more BDHs to come to our modest convention sometime in the future.
