I was listening to music and thought that this sounded just like firefly music:

WOW!! I could so see that being the only sound during some dramatic fight scene or flashback. It has so many elements of the music they used on Firefly!! Do you know who composed that piece or what is was played for?

Again, wow, very cool!

Personally... I hoped to hear Dixie Hayseed do AC/DC tunes (Dixie style!)

I can't hear the mp3 because my computer is stupid (or I'm stupid with computers?), but I just wanted to say, I love Hans Zimmer. He's an incredibly gifted composer. His music can express any emotion he wants it to, and still fit within the context of the world the movie is creating - whether it is ancient Rome, or Pearl Harbor. Wouldn't it be cool if he could do Serenity?

He's done a number of well-known movie scores over the years. Gladiator, The Last Samurai, Black Hawk Down, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Prince of Egypt, The Thin Red Line, A League of Their Own, Backdraft... the list just goes on and on. He's an excellent composer.

... but honestly, I'd love to have Greg Edmonson back to do the scoring for the movie. He did such a fantastically exotic and varied score for the series that I'm certain he would create a kick-ass score for the film.

Dang, makes me want to see Black Hawk Down! It seems a little to slow for Firefly music, but still very nice.

"Doesn't this sound just like firefly?"

Absolutely, yes, thanks for sharing. I haven't seen Black Hawk Down.

Actually, the main composer on Pirates was Klaus Badelt. It just sounds Zimmerish because he's a protege of... Hans Zimmer.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Great find Sembiance! It does sound very Fireflyish (is that a new word?).

I was watching the Sci Fi channel last night & they had a trailer for Tremors 4: The Legend Begins. The reason I mention it is because they played part of a song from the score and the western sound reminded me of Firefly. I may watch it now just to hear the song and find out who does it to try to download it.
