Ganz toll!

Aber ...
(switching to English as I forget how to say this): I am getting 'page not found' notices along the top and bottom of each page *other* than the Startseite. If I return to Startseite, then each page navigation button reappears.

I'm viewing on Mac OS9.x with IE Explorer.

I look forward to visiting again.

Cheers,

Toll. Gibt es viele Browncoats im Deutschland (oder der Schweiz, oder im Oesterreich)?

Sorry if that's really bad german; been out of german for 2 months, and it's already starting to slip

Not fluent in German ...umm, at all, I did catch the word 'browncoats' in a reply or 2. Just out of curiosity, what do the German fans think of the use of 'browncoat'? Any attempt to assoicate that to the infamous brown shirts of the NAZI era fame? If so, how is that handled, what is thought,etc....

Nicely done, Hardy!

The sight looks great and maybe it will help me brush up on my German, too.

Thanks for the link!

@ Aureptor: No, this browncoat-thingy didn't remind me on WW2 and the brown shirts at all. I think it's a difference between these "positive" browncoats and those negative shirts. It's the first time that I discover a "relation", just through your question. It's too long ago... and the Browncoats are soooo far in the future. *g* For me there's just a hint of a Nazi-thing in the Alliance, not the browncoats...

@Aureptor:
I wasn't reminded of the Nazi-reference at all. Like Kati, your question was the first thing to point me to something like this. I though that the Alliance had a feeling quite like the Empire in Star Wars, which again seems quite similar to the Nazis.
But I guess that such an association is much easier being made by someone, who doesn't come from anywhere near Germany, because the knowlegde about each others cultures is mainly based on prejudices and gossip.
When I think of americans, they're always the ones who drive everywhere by car (even if its only ten meters away) and have all those kinds of (from our point of view) silly judgement sentences.... ;)

Cool, thanks for the replies. The main reason I ask is because as we near the premier of Serenity, I think more and more of the movie lingo will be filtering into the general public. Things like Browncoats, Reavers, Shiny, Blue Hands,etc....all the things we know from the 'verse will be new to lots more folk.

And I agree about the Alliace and their vague tilt toward most things NAZI. With their crisp, clean uniforms and those ( only bad guys wear.. ) hats.

Btw: The steel helmets of the Alliance-soldiers (I think I saw them in "The Message") look (almost... I'm not an expert, but I think so) exactly like German soldier helmets of the WW2...
