Hey everyone, yesterday me and a bunch of friends marathoned the entire series of firefly! no we weren't high but it did take a lot of coffee. Im just saying this because i was wondering how many other people have done this and if you havent done this do it. The last few episodes look soo good out of one bloodshot eye at 5 in the morning

I did that when the DVD's came out. Funny thing was that I had never seen an episode before, and knew very little about it.
I had seen the commercial and was very interested, however, because I don't watch much TV I missed all shows on TV.
When I saw that the DVD's were out I got the first DVD from Netflix and watched all of it the same day. Also that same day, I went and bought the whole thing and watched the rest non-stop.
I'm glad I remembered that one commercial and watched the DVD's.

You don't hear that around here too often.

I have done the marathon thing in the past, but not with Firefly.

I marathoned the first two seasons of OZ (eight hours each) over a weekend (one season a day) and this past weekend i marathoned half of the second season of Buffy (12 episodes)

Firefly i watched over a two day period when i was sick. now i watch an episode a week to get my Joss fix.

Rest of the family was away this weekend, so Saturday afternoon/evening I watched all the episodes with commentary. I hadn't listened to the commentaries before and the other house Firefly fans aren't so interested in that aspect.

I did take breaks though (meals, a walk, a bath, email)

Before this weekend I had never seen Firefly at all. I purchased the DVD set last week, and started watching the first episode on Friday night. Wasn't a continuous marathon, but I had finished most of them by Saturday night, and watched all of the episodes by Sunday afternoon.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I haven't done a continuous marathon, but do plan to do it one weekend, most likely when I can get at least two or more people to come by & watch.

A friend of mine did sit through 8 episodes in one sitting once. Only stopped to grab a bite to eat and bring it back while we watched the next episode.

I bought the set while I was in Afghanistan. We were on a 12-hour shift for QRF (Quick Reaction Force) which basically means, we sit around and wait for something to happen so we can fly off and become BDH's. Well. . .I started Disk 1 at the beginning of our shift and we sat straight through the shift. Fortunately, that was a quiet day due to a severe dust storm that had everyone grounded, so our entire crew. . .all 63 of us. . .sat in our briefing room. My laptop was hooked up to the video projector that we use for briefings, and we watched it 'theatre style' for the ENTIRE SHIFT. . .and of course about an hour beyond that, since there are 14 episodes. It was grand. We had to stop between eps for 'stretch breaks' and such. But I ramble, so I'll stop now.

My hubby did. As soon as I opened my beloved dvd's and started watching them, he just sat there and watched them straight through. Now me, for my part, I watched all the ones I had seen when broadcast and saved the rest of them to be watched one each on Friday night, as if the show had never been killed. I tend to watch a few eps every Sunday morning while I work quietly in the soaproom.
