America loves a winner!

Vince Flynn dies, and now James Gandolfini.

What a day.

A terrible loss. I can't believe it. I bought the Sopranos dvds a few years ago. Watched all 86 episodes many times. And I still watch The Sopranos almost every night at 8pm on HBO Signature. For me it never gets old. He was also great in "Crimson Tide". He worked with wounded vets and made a HBO documentary about them. R.I.P.

Absolutely loved this guy, both as an actor and as a human being. He is among a list of iconic actors that I have admired over the years, and I grew to respect him as a man.

Needless to say, I was completely shocked when I heard the news and words just don't begin to tell the story about this man. So young and truly gifted, it is a devastating shame.

Rest in Peace James

Much love to his family.

I only watched a handful of episodes from the Sopranos so I can't say much about his role there (didn't have HBO then), but I have a couple of favorite movie roles by him:

1- His role as the hit man in The Mexican, one of my all-time favs.

2- Just about all his small roles in other movies such as the bodyguard in Get Shorty; his role in True Romance and in A Civil Action.

He was the master of the controlled rage, gonna miss him!

He was talented, true and charismatic.

I remembered him from True Romance. Then for his next 2 or

3 appearances, I'd think gleefully, "O, it's that guy again!"

He surely left too soon.

Just finished watching Get Shorty on PBS. They paid tribute to Gandolfini at the end.

Class move by PBS.
