Okay, I give up and am starting again from scratch.

Here is the original time and title the thread should have had.

Fireflyisms on parade!!

Here is my edit
EDIT --> OOPS!! I could have sworn I edited the subject on this when I posted it, but it read "Kaylee's appeal." My apologies for any confusion. I always get the subject filled with the last new thread I created. Does that seem right to you? <-- okay. I'll stop it. -- inspin "DOH!".

Here is my original post

Okay, people. We all use 'em, but the other day Knibblet posted a great use of a FF quote.
[look here if you missed it: http://www.fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=2&t=5286]

So, what about the rest of you...What's the best use you have made of a Fireflyism?

I can't think of a really good one right now, but this week one of my kids was bucking authority -- didn't want to do what dad asked her to and said something about she was free to do what she wanted to do and stomped upstairs (age 7). I looked at my husband and sang:

Take my love. Take my land.
Take me where I cannot stand...

and we just cracked up.

Okay Browncoats...amuse me!!

Here is...um... me, hanging myself in shame

I have been using "shiny" to describe things that are both shiny as in "good/neat" AND shiny as in "luster." It's like.... a double usage. Getting double points, or something.

New CDs are usually shiny!

Yeah, I've started to use shiny in normal conversation, as an alternative adjective to "good". Some odd looks here and there, but they're just missing out...

I've been gradually phasing out my use of "cool" with "shiny". "Gorram" has been a convenient substitute for, pardon my french for a moment, "Goddamn" at the office. I've started using "wave" in opposition to "call" or other means of communication electronically.

That's all I can think of at the moment. I'm kinda burnt out. So, I'll be in my bunk. Heh, there's another one.
