I made mention to some fellow Browncoats that I was thankful the show got canceled. Of course as soon as I did I had to quell the ensuing umbrage, but they agree, that because of that, and because of the efforts of those initial Browncoats to preserve, quite possibly the best show ever, that it brought millions of people worldwide together who otherwise would not have known one another. I am grateful for all the friends I have these days that I would not have known were it not for Firefly.

10 years ago Joss opened our minds, our hearts, and our 'verse. We're still flyin'. Yep, good day. :)

And a special thanks to Haken and all the Browncoats (both known and anonymous) who carried me when I couldn't even crawl. I firmly believe you saved my life and that of my kids, and that's a debt I can never repay. Again, would never have happened without this community and the people Firefly brought to it. Xie xie!

I may have been raised on Star Wars but nothing has ever captivated my sense of fandom like Firefly. The fact that all of its fans are still flying after ten years is beautiful to me. It's true that this show brought together thousands of people who would never have known each other and that's also beautiful. There's only one thing in the 'verse more beautiful, and that's a dinky yet adorable spaceship named Serenity.

Hope each of us is still flyin' by the 20 year 'verse-ary.

Just remembered this is my own 10yr anniversary for being a member if this board...

Haken, thank you so much for providing a home for us. And thank you to all my fellow members for making it feel like one. :biggrin:

On a bit more somber note, thanks to the new board features I was able to find my very first post here. It was a lame joke about Barney and the Teletubbies. But, just a couple of posts after that, I was quoted by none other than Luxlucre himself. Of course, he improved on my joke. Seeing that actually brought a tear to my eye.

To those Browncoats that are no longer with us, thank you for the inspiration to keep flying.

We miss you...
