There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I was just looking at the "Coming Soon" listings at the Science Fiction Book Club. I haven't bought from them in a while, but I do take advantage of their omnibus editions from time to time, as well as trying to keep up with what is coming out in the world of SF books. This definitely caught my eye:

It's a combination of both Firefly Visual Companions and the more recent Still Flying from Titan Books, in hardcover with a "foil-stamped leather-effect binding." It's odd that I had not heard about this until now since I am on Titan's email list. I double checked for this on amazon, and sure enough...

I have all three of those books so I probably won't be getting this new edition, except it does say something about "additional behind-the-scenes material." It's due out September 25. Why not the 20th?

I have all three books, but I'll end up buying this one also.
The durability of the hardcover appeals to me.

But I do hope that they release one for Serenity, too.

Looks pretty cool, and the price is less than I paid for just 2 of those books.. :( I might wanna replace my rather read versions of them, but as said, may look out of place beside the Serenity companion. (Which I enjoyed less than the other 3 books..) :/

It says the book will be 544pgs and I checked the three other companion books for their page counts.
They add up to 544.

Hmmmm...I'm not too sure about there being new content or if there is, it would be minimal.

Regardless, I'm buying it and will post about it when I get it.

As far as being released on the 25th, the publisher probably just has new releases go out on Tuesdays like DVDs and such. Though, it would of been cool if they released it on the 18th...I would get it on the 20th.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Nice find! Just pre-ordered it.

Yay! I got it!
Did a quick comparison of the table of contents and the only new thing was "A Message From Your Captain" which is a very short excerpt from a Nathan Fillion interview.

Oh, and those framable pics of the cast.

Hadn't been to the bookstore in a while, so I got really excited when I saw this on the shelf at B&N!
My first thought was "Why haven't I heard anybody talking about this?" but I knew there'd be a thread here that I must've missed!
