I caught CSI: Miami last night, the episode where Horatio takes off to New York to work 'with the locals' ... a pale excuse to introduce the new series.

While I'd give them thumbs-up on the weird settings ... the gothic morgue is quite inspired ... the dialogue was like something Lucas would write for Hayden Christopher (aka 'Anakin Skywalker').

I can't recall the exact lines, but there was this bizarre exchange that went on between Sinese (sp?) and Caruso about where their suspect would be tried ... New York or Miami. They both had death penalties, but NY hadn't actually killed anyone since 1973, and Caruso's character definitely wanted the perp off the planet -- permanently.

Anyhow ... the scene sounded like some sort of lame-brained poker game, 'I'll see you one orphaned rich girl and raise you a stabbed rich teenage witness'. Oh, the pain of it all!

Cheers,
