C’mon Browncoats…give some thanks to the departed Ray Bradbury.
Trust me, there is no Firefly without him. He was the first writer to give legitimacy to Science Fiction/Fantasy. That’s because…He could actually write. His stories were lush and his characters were so real…even when they were vampires, wizards, from the future, or Martians.
Somebody needs to take another shot at filming “Something Wicked this way Comes”.
So tonight I will Drink Entire Against the Madness of Crowds.
You were loved Mr Bradbury and will be missed,

Thank you for everything, Ray. Your writing, your intense love of life, your unending enthusiasm. Without you, my life wouldn't have been the same.

He was most of all a poet, even when writing prose.
If you can find a copy of Dandelion Wine, about his youth, read or re-read it now.
Oh, Hell, read the oeuvre in marathon fashion - - you can't get bored.
We will miss him more than we realize at this moment.
