(messed this up the first time I guess)

So I just finished watching Done the Impossible: The Fans' Tale of Firefly & Serenity for the first time after getting it at the Calgary Comic Expo. Made me teary eyed in a few spots. There was also a lot that I didn't know already about the cancellation of Firefly that was heartbreaking to find out (how many years after the fact). I was blow away by the real sense of family/community that the fans all had/have, like family that have never seen eachother. It really made me want to experience that and be a part of the greatness that is Firefly/Serenity/Joss Whedon. So I find myself here...finaly :)

Hi! Yeah, this was kind of the first specific series fansite I've ever been on myself. Something about the nutpunch of realizing there isn't any more Firefly/Serenity, makes you want to find other people and commiserate. Or maybe just talk about it, depends which one involves more alcohol.

RWED is fun as long as you don't mind meanness from time to time, people really get along pretty well in there a good lot of the time though, inspite of politics etc. As Wish said its the most active part of the board and it might seem a little intimidating but just jump in anyways, even if you're not all that political. Its a free speech zone so people can say whatever they want without penalty. But give it a go.

I assume you're my pal until you let me know otherwise.

Glad you found the place. It's pretty nifty here actually. Bit quieter these days but still fun. As for where to start. Hmmm. Interesting question. I'd say the Blue Sun room; then just mosey around the community page and see what you like. There's heaps of interesting posts from all. It's really rather splendid. Feels like I am bragging when I say I'm in the documentary or I am was in the movie Serenity. But I like to share because some folks do find it shiny.

I wrote up a lot of reports from that time of my fan encounters with the cast for all those who couldn't be there. It was a magicaly time. Seeing them now is still special.
