Here's a couple photos I got with Summer Glau last weekend at Emerald City Comicon in Seattle, Wa.

Meeting Summer, was so cool. I also got to ask her a question during the panel regarding her injured foot, if she could still dance okay. She said in small spurts.

My question is 22 minutes in.

Summer is so adorable!
I like the fact that she's not as shy as she used to be and can captivate an audience; also that panel was very informative and the questions from the fans were more interesting than in other conventions...that includes yours :)

What IS the series she is waiting to see if it gets picked up?? It's almost like she don't want ta jinx it by saying it's name...I can't blame her there...
I guess for an actor that having a series not get picked up is like bad publicity...

I noticed she got a little stressed halfway through the questions. They need to hurry up and make some more so we can have some more NEW questions ta ask...
I think there's a good lesson to be learned in the question you asked. Kids need to do different things then just the same activity EVERY DAMN DAY... I think it's like selling out your kids' childhood a bit. I wonder if she's so shy because she didn't really get the kind of socialization one gets in a school?

Summer Glau filmed last december a pilot for TNT called "Scent of the Missing".

The pilot is based on the book by Susannah Charleson and describe the authors adventures with her golden retriever named Puzzles as members of a Texas-based canine search and rescue team.Tthe female lead is played by Tricia Helfer (number six in Battlestar Galactica) while Summer Glau co-stars as a "new member of the team who is beautiful and very wealthy, but much tougher than she looks".

I've been told the reason "Scent of the Missing" hasn't been picked up yet is because there's some issues concerning the title. As you know, there's an ABC dram series that came out called "The Missing". There's apparently some concern about changing the title to Summer's pilot, or leaving as it is.

"She understands. She doesn't comprehend."

Oh, I remember hearing about that last year, and then nothing for a long while. How long does it take to change a title, anyway?

I didn't know about the title issues but Susannah Charleson told in her interview that a few names of characters and dogs have been modified so why not the title indeed.
Anyway we should wait for the TNT UpFronts to know.

I agree that the title could do with a change as I saw The Missing listed and wondered if it was the pilot to Summer's show being shown. When I checked IMDB I realised it wasn't.

It was a good panel from the video footage I saw on YouTube and Summer was obviously very nervous at the beginning and unsure when giving an answer but she soon settled into it. It's easy to see why she is so loved by fans. It can't be easy doing these types of panels when all the attention is on you alone and you don't even have fellow cast members to share the pressure with.
People do need to come up with some more original questions as most of these have been asked or answered in previous interviews/panels. Any fan would know the answers already.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Congrats InvaderPet for getting to meet Summer. She is gorgeous and fun to talk to. Met her at Dragon Con a few years back and it was one of the highlights of that particular con for me.

Holding the line since December '02!
