I didn't even know Sean was on the show until he came out of the closet, they put the show up against "Castle" and "5-0" so I can't say I'm surprised. NBC should have moved it to another night to see how it would do, but I guess they've hired some peolpe who worked at FOX back in 2002.

Well, you called it...Though I can't say I was surprised, either.

I think these networks are forgetting to ask "Is there anything about this show that'll keep people watching our drivel for seven years or so?"

It's called SUBSTANCE! Look it up ina dictionary for chrissakes...

Also...I guess Sean's "Coming Out Ball" only got in a couple of dances... Wonder if he even had time ta question the buffet?

Better luck next time!

I thought it was a decent show actually. The problem is perception. The playboy brand is where they shot themselves in the foot. The plot IMO was more of a chick flick style show. However, the playboy brand is more designed to draw in men. So, they basically found a way to make both men and women turned off. Brilliant idea.

Sad to say for Sean, but I saw the preview for this when I went to the movie to see “Apes” . It didn’t interest me then either….

Playboy Club founder Hugh Hefner weighed in on NBC’s decision to scrub “The Playboy Club” from its primetime schedule owing to lousy ratings. “I’m sorry NBC’s ‘The Playboy Club’ didn’t find it’s audience,” he tweeted, adding, “It should have been on cable, aimed at a more adult audience.”

“Playboy” was DOA when it premiered during the first official week of the TV season — the first episode attracted just 5 million viewers, and it finished last among broadcast networks in its timeslot with the younger viewers NBC targets.

In its second week, the show clocked an even more disappointing 4 million viewers — laps behind ABC’s “Castle” (11.7 million viewers) and CBS’s “Hawaii Five-O” (11.3 million) in the same hour.

This past Monday was the final nail in the coffin: the bunnies attracted a puny crowd of 3.4 million, according to early stats, while “Castle” clocked 11.6 mil and “Hawaii Five-O” hung on to 11 mil.

NBC is putting Brian Williams' new newsmag — the oddly named “Rock Center with Brian Williams” into the hour starting Oct. 31, according to an industry source.

Didn't watch it myself, but Zeek's comment above is literally the only nice thing Ive heard about the show, so I doubt it's too great a loss.

"Goram it kid, let's frak this thing and go home! Engage!"
