Ni Hao! We are making sure folk are aware that the Browncoat Ball is fastly drawing near. If you ever dreamed of seeing the luxury that is the World of the Companion, then you want to come to Newport, Rhode Island and choose the Companion track.
Are there things out there that go 'bump' in the night and just might strap you to the front of their machines? Does a little blood quicken your pulse rate? Check out our HP Lovecraft tour.

Or if the laid back, sit out the 'Verse a spell is more your speed, then choose the Shindig track. Either way you go, Saturday night will be full of dancing, hot cheese and maybe just maybe misbehavin' ...

It's the Browncoat Ball in October. Wanna?

Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurtin' before she keels. Makes her a home

Sounds fun. The year it was in my city I was all set to go then my family went to New England for a trip and I missed it. Now its all the way across the country from me. But I hope everyone has fun.

I am honestly not sure whether I'll make it or not, but I am still hoping... I live in Old England, for those who are not aware, & the Browncoat Ball is something I've wanted to attend for years! I have friends who've been many times & I know the wonderful folk who are working hard to bring you the best damned Browncoat Ball to New England!

If you can make it, I'd definitely recommend it!

The New England Browncoats are hosting the Ball
http://browncoatball.com/2011/
and a prop museum for original and replica props
http://browncoatball.com/2011/schedule/prop-museum/
and I'm looking forward to displaying the things I've built and acquired.
I'm looking forward to meeting some of the collectors I know only online,
like Dan, coordinator of the prop museum interviewed on the first BCB Podcast:
http://browncoatball2011.podomatic.com/

I attended the BCB in Philadelphia in 2007.
I enjoyed that outing, and I'm sure this year will be even better!

Because I'm taking some of my prop collection to the 2011 Browncoat Ball Prop Museum,
I want to have some nice displays finished.

Two that I'm working on, when I can, are for Jayne and Zoe.
The Zoe display will be a case for her three main weapons,
the Firefly Mare's Leg,
the BDM Serenity Mare's Leg
and the Firefly pistol she carried in the cross-draw holster.
This pic shows the foam "nest" I made, now I need to find matching brown fur to upholster it.

For Jayne, I'm building a rather large shadowbox to display his Firefly and BDM Serenity weapons, patches and a few pertinent pictures.
This will be stained in a near clear to show off the light wood,
and I'll use aluminum posts for the weapons and aluminum push-pins to hold the patches and pictures.
The MP5K is just a place holder,
I'll be building a more accurate one for Jayne's, "Let's be bad guys", rig.

A few that I have finished:

Jubal Early

YoSaffBridge

Wash

And, (pardon the lousy picture) Mal

Anything I don't finish I'll take along anyway, because I think in replica prop making,
the process is as much about the hobby as the finished product.

Thank you for providing the link. :0)
