About a month ago, I let my friend borrow my Firefly dvd's. He watched them, returned them, and thanked me for introducing him to such a brilliant show. Another Firefly fan=happiness.
Just recently he picked up Freaks and Geeks the complete series on dvd. He told me I had to pick it up, it was an excellent show. I was shopping at Best Buy, and had a little extra cash, so I bought it.
Freaks and Geeks is one of the best shows I have ever seen. It takes place in Michigan in 1980, and follows Lindsay, and her brother Sam in High school, trying to fit in. By the end of the pilot episode, I was in awe. It is very funny one moment, and touching, and sad the next. I'm a huge Buffy fan, and with the exception of Firefly, never thought another show could compare. I was wrong.
Apparently Freaks and Geeks was supposed to run 22 episodes, but got cancelled after 18. So it just goes to show you that amazing, quality television shows exist, They just get cancelled before people even know they are on.
