SPACE the imagination station (Canada) www.spacecast.com

Firefly is played Mondays @ 10pm
Angel is right after that @ 11pm
Buffy is weeknights @ 8pm

But there is little support for Joss and crew on the SPACEBBS.

I had, a while ago, gone to the SPACEBBS ( www.spacecast.com) to thank them for playing Firefly in order. Please go and do that yourself! Good idea? I hope I'm not bring up an old thing. Anyho'...

I've said a lot about certain people over at Queen and John but don't think I don't have a lot of respect for some of what Moses and CHUM have accomplished for the Arts in Toronto. Hey, compared to FOX the Chum company is saintly. Anyho'... dispite the hate on certain people in power, over there, have for Joss Whedon programs I do encourage going to thier BBS and thanking them for playing Firefly, Angel, and Buffy.

Then tell 'em to try not cutting the show like a cod for the commercials, it's unprofessional.

The point? Well, it would be nice to contribute to ZaphodBs terrific threads over there. He needs the support since the people who are paid to post for SPACE ... don't. Heck, the've spoken out against Firefly. I know, they are not very shiny.

Since some people think it's a 'good thing' to support crap like Enterprise or old boring big hair stuff like B5 just because it's a genre show (how retarded is that thinking?) I gotta point out that Joss and his crew have given us the best fantasy and Sci-Fi this generation will ever see... yet it's shit on by a marketing campaign (cable interests.. it's a whole thing and very petty) fueled by fanboys who are easily manipulated into parroting whatever the moles want them too. Disgusting to think that people can be so controlled by words, but it's true. People love to be part of the winning crowd and will soon attack good things like Firefly even if only to win some lame flame-war online.

Some people are more interested in seeing quality Sci-Fi and fantasy so it doesn't sink back into the same sub-culture crap hole genre was shunt into during the 50s purges. That is, if Fantasy/Sci-Fi goes away from Lord of the Rings and Firefly towards Enterprise and ... oh, Dungeons and Dragons (*snark!*) - then we will NOT have the TV shows, movies, etc. Eventually, people will just get bored of all the crappy Mars 'pro Scientology' movies. Oh wait, that already happened. Well, the point is crap doesn't have a long life. Never did, genre or not.

Save the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre by going out onto the Net and telling everyone what a terrific creator Joss Whedon, Tim, and all the rest are. Tell people who support crap you'll meet them in the alley later. Wait and see who is more commited.

Oh, then come back here and tell us how it went.

Funny that even though I own the DVDs, I still faithfully tune in every Monday to watch Firefly on tv - commercials and all.
