Can't convert the pre-converted

I go to a wedding shower last night and run into a bunch of old friends. I think to myself, "Hey, self, convert some people." So I casually mention Firefly, thinking someone's going to ask me to go into greater detail. And lo and behold, one of my old friends says, "You watch that too?" Turns out, he just had a marathon watching event the night before. So I tell him about the website since he already knew about the show.

Then I go to another old friend's house to hang out. In passing I say, "You ever heard of a show called Firefly?" and he says he has the set on his shelf. So I tell him about the website.

It's hard to convert people when they already know about the show. But then, that just leaves more people for the movie. Browncoats really are everywhere.

Got my box set as a 12th-night (ie post-Christmas) gift from a friend; I'd already watched every broadcast episode, and had most on tape (had them all until a tape pulled a Mr. Phelps on me) but i'd hardly watched them until I had the set.

You could say I was pre-converted, but the box set was a revival meeting....
