Hi all,

Just a thought on how to quickly and effortlessly promote Firefly/Serenity ... Add a reference to it in your email .signature file. For example, here's one of mine

I was looking for a new pda last night, when I realized the potential for firefly promotion. In the calendar feature, make a recurring appointment to watch Firefly dvds, so any person picking the thing up will ask, "What are Firefly dvds?" Then use the wireless access to surf to FFF.net. The next person will look at it in wonder and amazement at the beauty of Firefly. There's at least a half-a-dozen on display on any given day. Stores like bestbuy, compusa, and circuit city have pda displays and sell dvds. It could work.

GUNRUNNER

I've been posting Quotes and Links to this site in all the Sub Command missions I post at my web site ( www.geocities.com/billds9). Don't know how effective it has been, but if only a few people buy a FF DVD set becuse of it I think its worth it.

Good idea, just make sure you proofread the quote, lest they not get the joke.

My son is currently using this Jayne quote as his AIM auto-response when he is away:

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Not a bad idea.

I think anything we can do, anything at all, to promote Firefly & the movie "Serenity" will pay off in the end.

I am constantly doing things to promote the show and now the movie. I loan out the DVD set, use quotes from the show, have screen caps hanging up in my office, and pitch the series to new people. I also cruise the DVD sections at stores and make sure they have the set, if not, I will ask employees about it. I will face the set out on display, and if I see someone checking out Sci Fi DVDs, I recommend Firefly.

I am going to print off some fliers this afternoon from 11th Hour's site to post in stores (w/ permission of course) locally to advertise the DVD set & the movie.

Actually, its still a girl's name spelled Jayne.
However, don't say that in front of OUR Jayne, 'cause he'll assure you he has "man-parts", and if you hesitate for a second, he'll prove it by showing you.
