What is really funny about the cartoons is that I was home sick today from work (really) and finished watching my dvd set(third strip from link above). No Lie. I have Bronchitus and the first signs of pnemonia.. so I thought, why not watch the rest of the dvds... If I couldn't stop coughing, I would laugh more.

that just kicks so much ass :)

All my co-workers know I'm addicted to this thing, now - they still don't know what it is, but I'm slowly converting them - the owner of the company is thinking about getting himself the DVDs :)

I know this has been said before but...

SO WHY THE HELL ISN'T IT BACK ON?!!!!

No one but no one who has seen this series has been able to resist it. This appeals to every target audience an advertiser could want.

Let's get coca-cola involved. Don't they have some pull with The Man in some X-Files kinda way?

We're getting our movie. And hopefully more to come after that.

The thing is that FOX never wanted Firefly in the first place. Other channels were a little bit skittish about picking up a new series that was just canceled. That would look bad.

But now the record DVD sales and most likely a blockbuster movie will relaunch the show.

Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.

Shiny. It's good to see the show recognized on a web comic for one reason or another.^^ I just wish others would feature it. Some of those web comics, like Penny Arcade, have a pretty big following. That would be a great way to spread the word.

Oh and, interesting story of conversion: My grandmother is 76 years old. She has never liked anything that I have enjoyed on the television, especially anything in the science fiction genra.

She came in one day when I was watching 'Ariel'. She sat with me and watched a few minutes of it, turned to me and said, "Well, you finally found a good one." I almost choked on the piece of pizza I was eating. That was all the encouragement I needed. I showed her the pilot episode after that, and am currently showing her all the episodes.

If Firefly is good enough to make someone that far away from the intended fan base enjoy it, its a show worth saving.

Penny Arcade already talked about how great it was a while back.

Really? Huh....I just went through the entire archives on Penny Arcade recently and I didn't see it. Must have missed it somewhere.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

That 3rd comic is hi-larious. It reminds me of myself the first weekend I had the DVD set and had a 12 hour viewing marathon.
