Why was I under the impression that Jewel was going to be starring in this series? Maybe she has a smaller role or something? Hmmmm...

Jewel will be joining the cast in the 7th episode (I heard). Go to http://www.aint-it-cool-news.com/display.cgi?id=17172 to check it out.

Not really my style of show. Premise looks like a rip-off of True Calling and Joan of Arcadia. I'll stick with Dead Zone.

Watch it anyways! I begging you, and I haven't even seen it. If you've read any reviews, you'd know how great it is. Also, it was developed at the same time as "Tru" and "Joan," so it's not a rip-off, even if it does have similar elements.

Pretty much every review I've read has said that this is the best new show of the 2003-2004 season, and one of the most original shows of recent times.

Just try it.

In case you don't already know, Tim Minear (executive producer, writer, director and showrunner of "Firefly;" executive producer, writer, and director on "Angel") is the showrunning executive producer for "Wonderfalls," so if you like "Firefly" prepare to like this. It's even on the same night and station!

Oh, and William Sadler plays the dad--how awesome is that?

I am gonna have my roommate tape it for me... The girl reminds me of my friend Kanda... who is also crazy.

Inara: Who's winning?
Simon: I can't really tell, they don't seem to be playing by any civilized rules that I know.

It does remind me of Joan Of Arcadia. It seems like the girl might be as cynical as Joan and she has a similiar look, but I'm going to watch it anyway.

I'm hoping it will distinguish itself pretty quickly. Anyway, it comes on a hour after Joan so that's all that matters.

I'm begging people not to dismiss the show because it sounds like it has the same premise as Joan of Arcadia. From everything I've heard, they're totally different. Wonderfalls is a comedy, while Joan of Arcadia is a family drama, so they'll tell completely different kinds of stories. But here's hoping that fans of JoA will tune in to check it out, while non-fans of JoA will still give it a chance.

I remembered on my way to work that it started today and that they had scheduled me to work later than usual... which means I missed it and forgot to record it :(. I'm going to have to catch this episode... another way.

I only caught the last 10 minutes. I was confused.

But Fox is going to show this episode again next Thursday at the same time.

Then on Friday will come the next ep. I hope I don't miss it this time.

EDIT: Wait, oh, this is an hour long program. I'm watching it now and missed the first 20 minutes. Maybe I'll become less confused. Can't seem to get any more confused. I'll watch it again next Thursday.

I liked it. But why does every new show remind me of Buffy?

It will have to grow on me. I can't say I liked this episode much, but I'll watch it at least two more times before I dismiss it. Sometimes, first episodes are a little dull, but next week looks like it might be pretty good.

I was less than impressed. The opening scene with the music and all screamed "Joan of Arcadia". It was no Joan though.

Ugh! I forgot to watch.
I hope they will replay the first episode. I can never get into a new show unless I watch the first episode. Which is why I missed Firefly the first time around. Of course, I didn't know that it wasn't the first episode at the time.

SERENA

I watched it last night and found it pretty amusing. Like some have said before, it wasn't good enough that I was totally sold, but not bad enough that I'm not willing to give it another try.

That being said, I was a little sorry that they claimed it took place in Niagara Falls, NY when it was so obviously shot in Niagara Falls, Canada. I mean, when the big falls are to the right, you have to be on the north side of the river, which is Canada.
