I have a feeling that this would be the wrong way to do something of this nature. But at least you are trying.

The best way to do this is to make a video tape of you acting. Then make a resume and with the tape mail it to Universal with something on the package about the Serenity movie. That would be your best option. I don't think anyone from the movie will be visiting this site or will contact someone, especially someone under 18, via e-mail in an informal arena like this.

Just my suggestions.

Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.

I could be entirely incorrect, but I think the original casting for the show started with the submission of videotapes.

Most castings occur with those interested getting a little blurb and having them being videotaped. If they like you then they call you up and ask you to visit the set or where ever. Then they will ask for a live audition and go from there.

That is how it usually works unless a director has a certain actor or actress in mind for said role.

Yes, this is how I started in the movies.
I remeber being so excited about getting the role of Mal on a new TV show called 'Firefly'.
How I laughed at those who said I'd never make it in the movie industry. Well, look who's laughing now baby! My first time on the set was...

Crap, I woke up at that point.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

RKlenseth is right. Posting here will net you nothing. Make a tape of you acting out some part, include an introduction of yourself and mail it to either Universal or Mutant Enemy. You will most likely have to have a letter from your parent or guardian included in the package as you are underage.

Good luck.

Read Bruce Camppbell's If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor. That will tell you all you need to know.

Now THAT was a good book - There's a man who knows the business, and knows how to tell stories about it.

KayleeSerenity - The Mutant Enemy folk don't visit here enough to notice your post, and will probably do so less often as the work begins on the film.

If you're truly serious about acting, look into getting your SAG card.

Loved that book. Bruce Campbell is one of my favorite actors, though a much unappreciated one.
