I say go see it regardless, laugh heartily at the inappropriate content, and let everyone know what they missed. Sucks to be them.

I think I've only gone to the movies alone twice in my life. With fairly good reason too. I was at an internship in St. Louis where I didn't know a soul. I just had to see Jurrasic Park 2 cause the first one rocked. I also had to see American Pie 2 cause I didn't want to be the only person around who didn't get references like MILF from the first one. Turns out there wasn't a whole lot in the 2nd one but whatever.

Now that I live somewhere where I actually know people I'd just feel weird going to the movies alone.

Well, I felt a little less self conscious having someone with me when I was the only one laughing at the "Disappearing Pencil Trick" in The Dark Knight with MSA sitting next to me. But then again I was so used to seeing movies by myself that it took a while getting used to having someone with.

I've only been to the movies alone twice :\ I don't even go that often anymore 'cause it's a little pricey now and there aren't very many good movies arriving in theaters anymore. I don't mind going alone though.

random ponder: should managers send out angry emails? Also, should they proofread them before sending them? :P

Sometimes they have to send angry emails. Gets the team motivated with fear. They should proof read everything they send out though.

Sorry.

It wasn't my boss, but I saw the email. The email was about the power that be in question "being taken advantage of" by people who come in late (there was more in the email, but that's the jist pretty much).
Okay, I understand why one would be upset at employees being late, but I think he failed to consider that perhaps some of the people in question have small or school-age children to see off, or that a lot of times those who come in late also stay late (traffic?). It read like an irate "I'm angry so I'm going to complain to all of you while I'm caught up in emotion" email rather than a "this is a problem that needs attention" email. :\

So, here's my ponder for the day: How quickly can you do a 180 on your feelings toward another person? I just find it totally shocking how quickly some people can go from bestest friends or long term relationship to utter hatred.

For me it's a slow process. I drift apart from people. I don't snap from one state to another. Am I the exception?

I think it's probably more common for the gradual thing. It's how I see it most often. I guess there's always the chance someone could do something which is so extreme which causes a more rapid shift, but generally it wouldn't happen overnight.

I agree with Navy. I think the flip flop might seem more rapid if the person in question has been feeling that way for a while, but just hasn't shown it or told anyone, so when it finally comes out into the open it seems like it happened instantly. Least that's how I understand it :\

Hate is a harsh word. I have let people go. I put distance between people who I don't feel safe with. Like my friend who let crack destroy his life. He lost his family, his job and he has nowhere to live. No hate involved. I just can't be apart of his life. It has been a couple of years since I last saw him so I don't know if he is alive. People go through changes and you have choices to make. You never if they may make a good change and are safe again. I certainly have gone through more then one change and will most likely go through more.

Saving that for geriatric senility deniability.

Don't worry. Apparently society has determined stabbing kids in the head with keys is only punishable by a $150 fine and probation. Wouldn't want to throw the book at someone who made such a small mistake, right?

LOL...no off track from school. Since the schools are year round here there are multiple tracks so they can stagger teachers and classrooms. Conserves resources...
I'm single track green... which means I get mid March to Mid April, November, 1/2 of December, and mid June to Mid July off. Don't get paid for it, but I do get loads of time off. Basically when you're a teacher they take the pay of 9 months and divide it by 12 so you get 12 smaller paychecks to include the time you don't work
Mind you, you're also responsible for doing everything they ask you to no matter how many hours a day you have to work so it means the average teacher works more total hours than someone who works 12 months of the year 8 hours a day with only 2 weeks off.

This season has taken a huge nose dive. They need to introduce the mother and start moving somewhere again. There haven't been any relationship advancements to be interested in. They killed Barney and Robin way too quickly and then the whole thing just felt like an exercise in stalling.

Robin and what's his face could have helped but that guy hasn't been in enough episodes to be interesting (or for me to learn his name). Even giving Ted another interim relationship to get through would have been nice. I want Victoria to come back for a while. That would be fun IMO.

Just bringing it up cause a friend of mine is about to go to an interview and I'm currently firing off txt messages with stuff like "CEO of company indicted on insider trading charges. Stock tanking!" and "Your division just got cut. Guess you need that job more than you thought" and "omgwtfpolarbear loose on that company's campus! Be careful!!" (omgwtfpolarbear is a lost reference in case you're not into lost)

I'm pretty sure she's just rolling her eyes and deleting the txts, but I'm having fun thinking them up.

So yeah...Hi! It's been slow in these imponderable parts. What gives? I need me some pondering.

MSA - I'm thinking that fire kid needs to channel his anger and frustration in a more productive manner, STAT! I was a curser...that in itself didn't help the situation, but they never called the fire marshall on me. No lasting effects from calling your drunken french teacher an a#%hole.

Ponders - amusing yourself is almost the best. I get the greatest satisfaction when I amuse myself AND others...but if it's just me, so be it.

I would rather be YEAH! Monday, than sad Friday. And today is a YEAH! Monday. One of my favorite bands (Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers) is playing in town tonight...and I'm going. (Another favorite, Frightened Rabbit, will be there on the 20th. Sooooo excited. If you watch Chuck, they've used a lot of Frightened Rabbit in the eps).

So here's another ponder for ya. What can someone say to always goad you into an argument? Doesn't have to be heated just has to be something you can't ignore.

Recently for me it was a friend poking fun at my "logic". She used quotes and all. Can't let that slide as my whole career is based on logic. Can't program very well if you can't use logic. Plus I aced a course called Logic in college. I even corrected the professor a few times when he made mistakes during lecture. I can logic circles around my friend! *&@#
