What the heck do bellydancing and fan dancing have to do with Firefly, you ask?

Simple: they're both featured (briefly) onscreen. Yay!

Dance survives, we know this. River was doing something like a country/contra dance in Safe.

It's a highly specialized little corner of the 'verse I haven't seen discussed at FFF before.

I'm not sure if this thread will end up sublime or ridiculous, but here's a place to discuss and play.

So: TTJ, they get handed a slip of paper with the contact info on it. The bellydancer is dressed ala cabaret style and has LED navel jewelry. She's in "still dancing but trying to cover some ground" mode, and not doing anything particularly spectacular.. but she's still got a nice flow going. I think there's one bit where the post-production crew got out of synch with the dancer. (Who, let's face it, was probably more likely to be on-rhythm.. perhaps a last minute music change?)

Then there's the fan dancer obscuring the cameras at Fanty and Mingo's. Again, nice work. Sacrificing a little artistic integrity to get the job done, but still putting on a good show.
